Personalized cleaning composition dispensing device
A personalized cleaning composition dispensing device for use in an automatic dishwasher dispensing the right chemistry at the right time during a wash cycle to provide an improved cleaning performance compared to standard automatic dishwasher dispensers. The device includes wash cycle sensing system that controls the release of chemistry via temperature and water flow data measured during the current wash cycle and uses either a preprogrammed product release algorithm for new wash cycles or a modified product release algorithm based on wash cycle data previously stored in the data storage unit for repeated wash cycles.
DISH TREATING APPLIANCE WITH DIVERTER VALVE POSITION SENSING
A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation and including a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber receiving dishes for treatment according to the automatic cycle of operation, multiple sprayers emitting a liquid into the treating chamber, and a diverter valve having a manifold defining a plenum with an inlet and multiple outlets and a membrane movably mounted within the plenum and having at least one through opening, which is sequentially aligned with the multiple outlets upon movement of the membrane.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY A MEDIUM HEATING DEVICE
A method for reducing energy consumption by a medium heating device, the method comprising the step: scheduling an operation (501) of the first device (111) requiring heating of a first medium; scheduling an operation (502) of the second device (112) requiring heating of a second medium; the method being characterized in that it further comprises the steps of: sending (504), from the first device (111), information regarding its operation cycles and water parameters to the second device (112); rescheduling (505) operations of the liaised devices (111, 112) so that drain heat of the first medium is reused to heat a fresh intake of the second medium by the second device by means of a heat exchanger (160); instructing (506), the reprogrammed devices (111, 112) to start their operations according to the new schedule.
Method for operating a water-bearing domestic appliance
A water-bearing domestic appliance and method of operating a water-bearing domestic appliance, wherein the domestic appliance includes a water feed system that is controlled by a control device and that supplies a measured volume of water to the domestic appliance. The domestic appliance further includes a total water volume detection device to detect a total volume of water that is supplied via the water feed system to the domestic appliance during its service life.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND A CONTROLLING METHOD FOR SUCH A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A household appliance includes a circulation pump for circulating dishwashing liquid in a washing compartment of the household appliance. A drain pump empties the dishwashing liquid from the washing compartment. For the purposes of ventilating the drain pump, a control device is provided to activate the drain pump after the washing compartment has been filled with the dishwashing liquid and before or during operation of the circulation pump.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCES AND FLUID-LOSS MITIGATION
A wash or dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a door, a fluid pump, a controller, a low-power input sensor, and a conditioning circuit. The controller may be configured to alternate between an active operational mode and a standby mode. The low-power input sensor may be configured to detect a fluid-loss event at the dishwashing appliance at the standby mode of the controller and transmit a fluid-loss signal in response to detecting the fluid-loss event. The conditioning circuit may be attached to the cabinet in electrical communication with the low-power input sensor and separate from the controller. The conditioning circuit may be configured to receive the fluid-loss signal apart from the controller at the standby mode and initiate a mitigation action in response to receiving the fluid-loss signal.
Dishwasher appliance with camera for determination of spray assembly operation
A dishwasher appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing, a fluid delivery device configured for delivering wash fluid into the wash chamber, and a camera assembly mounted with a view of the wash chamber including a location where the fluid delivery device is configured for delivering the wash fluid. A controller is configured to obtain consecutive images of the wash fluid in the wash chamber, determine whether the fluid delivery device is providing acceptable delivery of the wash fluid into the wash chamber, wherein the determining includes using the consecutive images of the wash fluid to determine whether there are differences in the wash fluid present in the wash chamber, and initiate corrective action if the fluid delivery device is not providing an acceptable delivery of the wash fluid into the wash chamber.
WASHING APPLIANCE WITH IMPROVED CONTROL OF CIRCULATION PUMP AND INLET VALVE
A washing appliance is provided, including a tub configured to house items to be washed; an inlet valve configured to be operated in an open condition for causing washing fluid to be loaded into the tub and in a closed condition for preventing washing fluid to be fed to the appliance; a circulation pump configured to circulate the washing fluid in the tub during a washing cycle; a control unit configured to determine an operative state of the circulation pump between a saturation state indicative that sufficient washing fluid is present in the tub to prevent air from being drawn out by the circulation pump, and a starvation state indicative that insufficient washing fluid is present in the tub to prevent air from being drawn out by the circulation pump. The control unit is further configured to receive an indication of a target speed for the circulation pump based on a user-selected washing cycle and/or on a phase of the user-selected washing cycle; control the current speed of the circulation pump based on the target speed, the inlet valve condition, the operative state of the circulation pump; operate the inlet valve based on: the target speed, the current speed of the circulation pump, and the operative state of the circulation pump.
Intermediate Rinse
The present invention relates to a home appliance, in particular a dishwasher, a washing machine or the like, and a method for controlling said home appliance. The home appliance comprises a water supply unit including a water supply port configured to be connected to a water supply for supplying water, like fresh water, to the home appliance, a water reservoir for storing water to be supplied to the home appliance by the water supply unit, a treatment space for treating objects in the home appliance, like dishes or laundry, a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between the water supplied to the reservoir and the water discharged from the treatment space by at least one pump unit, a control unit for controlling the operation of the home appliance and a bypass device for bypassing water supplied by the water supply unit past the reservoir to the treatment space.
Household appliance and a controlling method for such a household appliance
A household appliance includes a circulation pump for circulating dishwashing liquid in a washing compartment of the household appliance.
