Dishwashing appliances and methods for addressing obstructions therein
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as detecting a pressure (P1) at a pressure sensor upstream from a pump while maintaining the pump in an inactive state and activating the pump from the inactive state for an activation period during which the pump remains active to motivate a continuous fluid flow. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P2) at the pressure sensor upstream from the pump during the activation period and initiating a response sequence at the pump based on P1 and P2.
Dishwasher with heat pump
The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher having a heat pump, including a dishwasher body provided with a tub configured with a washing space therein and a sump provided at a bottom of the tub to temporarily accommodate washing water; a spray arm provided inside the washing space to spray washing water; a circulation pump that pumps the washing water of the sump; a washing water guide that guides the washing water pumped by the circulation pump to the spray arm; a heat pump provided with a compressor, an evaporator, an expansion apparatus, and a condenser provided to exchange heat in contact with the washing water of the washing water guide; and a controller that controls the heat pump to increase the temperature of the washing water of the washing water guide. As a result, it may be possible to suppress heat loss from being generated while heating washing water.
Dishwashing appliances and methods for addressing obstruction therein
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as performing a drain cycle; detecting a pressure (P1) during an activation period of the drain cycle; comparing the pressure to a first predetermined pressure limit; comparing the pressure to a second predetermined pressure limit; determining a target fill value based on a difference between a normal fill volume and a fluid volume corresponding to P1; and initiating a fill cycle based on the target fill value.
APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR OPERATION USING FLUID LEVEL DETECTION BY PATTERN RECOGNITION OF MOTOR CURRENT
An appliance and method for operating an appliance is provided. The appliance includes a pump configured to flow a volume of fluid, a flow nozzle configured to eject the fluid provided from the pump, and a motor configured to selectively operate the pump to flow the fluid through the flow nozzle. The method includes acquiring a dataset including a function of current magnitude and time corresponding to operation of a pump to flow a volume of fluid; determining an average current magnitude based at least on the dataset; determining a standard deviation based at least on the average current magnitude; comparing the standard deviation to a threshold to determine whether to transmit a control command based.
WAREWASH MACHINE DRAIN DOWN PROCESS AND ASSOCIATED WAREWASH MACHINE
A method of draining a wash tank of a warewash machine involves: (a) turning off, or maintaining off, both a booster tank heater and a wash tank heater of the machine; (b) simultaneously operating a rinse pump, operating a drain pump and opening a booster fill valve of the machine so that all of the following take place at the same time: (b1) fresh water is delivered through a heat exchanger to the booster tank; (b2) fresh water is delivered by the rinse pump from the booster tank to a rinse spray system and falls down into the wash tank; and (b3) liquid from the wash tank is delivered by the drain pump to a drain flow path and through the heat exchanger to exchange heat with the fresh water delivered through the heat exchanger.
Dishwashing appliances and methods for addressing obstruction therein
Dishwashing appliances and methods, as provided herein, may include features or steps such as activating the drain pump for an activation period and receiving a pump-status signal during the activation period. Dishwashing appliances and methods may further include features or steps for detecting a pressure (P1) upstream from the drain pump during the activation period, determining a condition at the filter based on the pump-status signal and P1, and directing the drain pump based on the determined condition.
Dishwasher
An air jet generator according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an impeller which applies centrifugal force to washing water flowing in a forward direction; a decompression portion which decreases a pressure of the washing water that flows; an air suction portion which is opened to allow air to flow into the decompression portion; a pressing portion which increases pressure so as to crush the air introduced from the air suction portion; an air tap which has a plurality of holes so as to crush the air contained in the washing water that passed through the pressing portion; and a reverse spray nozzle which sprays the washing water toward the air tap in a reverse direction.
Dishwasher and method of operating the dishwasher
A method for obtaining information about a load of articles to be cleaned in a dishwasher is provided. The method may include stopping a pump from pumping liquid through a spraying system of the dishwasher at a point of time; recording a pressure signal in a sump of the dishwasher from the point of time the pump was stopped; measuring a time period, said time period being measured from the point of time the pump stopped until the pressure signal is essentially stable; and comparing the time period with reference values for obtaining information about the load in the dishwasher. A corresponding dishwasher, computer program, and computer program product may be provided.
DISHWASHER
A dishwasher may include a washing chamber including a sump. The dishwasher may further include a water inlet tank configured to accommodate water for use in a wash cycle in the washing chamber, a water inlet conduit configured to supply water to the water inlet tank, and a drain pump including an inlet and an outlet, wherein the inlet is fluidly connected to the sump. The dishwasher may include a drain conduit fluidly connected to the outlet of the drain pump and a heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between the drain conduit and the water inlet conduit.
Method of controlling a circulation pump in an appliance for washing and rinsing goods
Provided herein are an appliance and method for washing and rinsing goods. The appliance may include a circulation pump, a sensing arrangement arranged to measure an indication of circulation pump pressure or process water flow rate through the circulation pump, and a controller arranged to control operating speed of the circulation pump. The controller may be further arranged to detect that the indicated circulation pump pressure or process water flow rate through the circulation pump is insufficient, and gradually reduce operating speed of the circulation pump until the circulation pump pressure or the process water flow rate through the circulation pump is at a sufficient operational level.
