A wheel carrier of a vehicle includes a clamping seat connection to a suspension strut or the like, which connection is clamped by a bolt-type connection. A lever structure is attached by this bolt-type connection to the clamping seat connection of the wheel carrier, from which lever structure an impact section projects from the bolt-type connection such that an obstacle striking this impact section or other object striking this impact section causes, in a vehicle crash, an at least partial release of the suspension strut in or from the clamping seat connection as a result of the impact.

A control arm for a wheel suspension in a motor vehicle has a control arm body made of light metal. The control arm body has two parallel side walls. An elongated hole for an eccentric mount is provided in at least one side wall. The eccentric mount has a base plate with an elongated hole. An anchor body extending on the side of the edge of the elongated hole is provided at the rear of the base plate. At the front, the base plate has two eccentric stops projecting from the base plate. The eccentric mount is inserted with the anchor body into the elongated hole of the side wall and joined by pressing into the elongated hole.

A wheel suspension for a vehicle axle includes a wheel carrier carrying a wheel which is displaceable rearward in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle in case of a frontal collision; a steering link, articulately connecting the wheel carrier to a vehicle superstructure, the steering link including at least two control arms articulately connected to the wheel carrier via respective support sites on the wheel carrier and to the vehicle superstructure via respective support sites on the vehicle superstructure; and an actuating element coupled with a first one of the two control arms and impinging the first control arm with a torsional force in response to a collision force resulting from the rearward displacement of the wheel caused by the frontal collision so as to cause detachment of the first control arm from the support site on the superstructure and/or on the wheel carrier.
Spring link
A spring link includes a link body which includes two side wall profiles which are parallel to one another at a distance and which are connected by a spring seat plate extending transversely from one side wall profile to the other side wall profile. Each side wall profile includes a side web having an outwardly directed upper collar section which extends in the longitudinal direction of the side web. The spring seat plate rests with a lateral longitudinal edge section on an upper collar section and is joined to the upper collar section. The side wall profiles of the link body are mirror-symmetrical to one another. The lower side of the link body opposite to the spring seat plate is open.
Spring link
A spring link includes a link body which includes two side wall profiles which are parallel to one another at a distance and which are connected by a spring seat plate extending transversely from one side wall profile to the other side wall profile. Each side wall profile includes a side web having an outwardly directed upper collar section which extends in the longitudinal direction of the side web. The spring seat plate rests with a lateral longitudinal edge section on an upper collar section and is joined to the upper collar section. The side wall profiles of the link body are mirror-symmetrical to one another. The lower side of the link body opposite to the spring seat plate is open.

A computing system can be communicatively coupled to one or more position sensors and one or more orientation sensors. The computing system can be configured to actuate the actuator of the one or more suspension assemblies to define a stroke, determine a default stroke position based on data from the one or more position sensors, and define a default position of the chassis based on data from the one or more orientation sensors.

A suspension control system can include a chassis and one or more wheel assemblies. One or more suspension assemblies can be respectively coupled to the one or more wheel assemblies. A computing system can be communicatively coupled to one or more position sensors and one or more orientation sensors. The computing system can be configured to actuate the actuator of the one or more suspension assemblies to define a stroke, determine a default stroke position based on data from the one or more position sensors, and define a default position of the chassis based on data from the one or more orientation sensors.
