CLAMP, MOUNT TAB AND TETHER FOR LIMIT STRAP
A two-piece limit strap clamp for use with a shock absorber and a limit strap retention device is provided. The pieces couple together around the upper end of a shock absorber. The clamp has a protrusion that extends outwardly and is adapted for attachment of the top end of a limit strap. The lower end of the limit strap may be attached to a mounting tab that is coupled to the lower mounting bracket of the shock absorber. Also disclosed is a limit strap with a tether coupled to a spring of the shock absorber to prevent the limit strap from bowing out when the shock absorber is compressed. A method of use of a limit strap with a tether is also disclosed.
BEARING UNIT FOR A SUSPENSION STRUT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A BEARING UNIT ON A MOTOR VEHICLE BODY PART
A bearing unit (1) for a suspension strut (2) of a motor vehicle (3), has at least the following components: a guide ring (4) having a guide axis (5) for a wheel spring (6); a cap (7) with a damper holder (8) for a damper block (9); a bumpstop holder (10) for a bumpstop (11); an axial bearing (12) with a bearing pitch circle (13) for supporting the guide ring (4) on the cap (7) and for low-friction rotation about the guide axis (5) relative to the cap (7). The bumpstop holder (10) is formed integrally by the cap (7).

Bearing eye for a leaf spring and leaf spring having a bearing eye
A bearing eye for a leaf spring for sprung support of a vehicle component on a vehicle body of a vehicle may include a through opening and a torsion spring therein, and a first catch. The bearing eye may provide pivotable mounting of the leaf spring on the vehicle body. The torsion spring is twistable relative to the bearing eye and connectable non-rotatably to the vehicle body. The first catch may project radially inwardly into the through opening, and the torsion spring has a second catch that projects radially outwardly into the through opening. The first and second catches may form a locking engagement which, depending on a degree of relative twisting between the bearing eye and the torsion spring, stops the relative twisting.
Spring element, in particular jounce bumper, for a vehicle shock absorber
A spring element, in particular a jounce bumper, for a vehicle shock absorber contains a longitudinal axis, a base body extending along the longitudinal axis, and an end portion configured for contact against a damper cap of the vehicle shock absorber. The base body is elastically deformable between an uncompressed basic state and a compressed state in which the base body is at least partially compressed in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The end portion contains at least three projections that are spaced apart from one another in a circumferential direction, and protrude from the base body in the direction of the longitudinal axis. Each of the projections has a distinct length in the direction of the longitudinal axis, and the projections are arranged along the circumference of the end portion such that the lengths of the projections increase monotonously in the circumferential direction.
