WAREWASH MACHINE ENERGY CONSERVATION INCORPORATING VENT CONTROLS
A warewash machine includes a housing defining a ware inlet, a ware outlet and an internal chamber including a plurality of sequential spray zones including at least one wash zone and a rinse zone downstream of the wash zone in a ware conveyance direction. A vent path leads from the chamber leading to a vent outlet for connecting to a building ventilation system. A damper is provided for controlling a flow area at a location along the vent path. A controller is connected to control a position of the damper, the controller configured to adjust a position of the damper based upon input from at least a first temperature sensor, wherein the first temperature sensor is located at one of (i) the ware inlet, (ii) the ware outlet or (iii) along the vent path. Methods of operating a warewash machine are also provided.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING THE OPERATION OF A COMMERCIAL DISHWASHER, DISHWASHER AND METHOD FOR MONITORING THE OPERATION OF A DISHWASHER
A system for monitoring the operation of a commercial dishwasher (2), which is embodied as a box-type dishwasher or as a conveyor dishwasher, includes at least one temperature sensor (60) designed to record a temperature profile with respect to time which corresponds to the temperature profile with respect to time to which an item of washware is subjected when it is treated in the dishwasher (2). The system further includes an evaluation device (62) designed to receive and to evaluate the temperature profile recorded by the at least one temperature sensor (60), wherein the evaluation device (62) is further designed to ascertain a value of a notional unit of quantity of heat from the temperature profile recorded by the temperature sensor (60). A dishwasher (2) including a corresponding monitoring system and a method for monitoring the operation of a dishwasher (2) are also provided.
DISHWASHER
A dishwasher is disclosed. The dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a tub and a temperature control device disposed at one side of the tub. The temperature control device comprises: a housing which forms a flow path; a heater which is coupled to one side of the housing; a switch which turns off the heater in response to the temperature of the fluid around the heater ; which has reached a predetermined point, and includes a switch coupling coupled to the housing and a sensor protruding toward inside of the housing and configured to measure the temperature of the fluid; and a holder which is coupled to the housing and configured to fix the switch to the housing and cover the coupling part, wherein the sensor protrudes further toward the inside of the housing than the holder to measure the temperature of the fluid in the housing.
Dishwasher appliance with adjustable dry cycle
A dishwasher appliance that includes features for condensation abatement on objects surrounding the dishwasher appliance during a drying cycle is provided. The dishwasher appliance is operable in a plurality of drying cycle modes. The mode in which the dishwasher appliance operates the dry cycle is determined based at least in part on a minimum cycle temperature indicative of the minimum temperature within or of a tub of the dishwasher appliance during an operation cycle. Moreover, methods for condensation abatement are also provided.
Apparatus and method for dishwasher status indication
An apparatus and method is describe herein for a device which when attached to a front-loading dishwashing appliance with a vented drop-down door gives an indication to the user as to whether the dishes, glasses and utensils placed within are soiled or cleaned. The device includes a heat sensing means attached to a extending member, an inclination sensing means which is responsive to the deviation of the dishwashing appliance door and therefore the device from the vertical position and a system of timers.
METHOD AND AN APPLIANCE FOR WASHING AND RINSING GOODS SENSITIVE TO TEMPERATURE CHANGES
Provided are a method performed by an appliance for washing and rinsing goods, where some of the goods loaded into the appliance are sensitive to process water temperature changes, and an appliance performing the method. The method may include receiving via a user interface, an instruction that an appliance, during execution of a general-type washing program, should take into account that goods sensitive to temperature changes are loaded into the appliance, measuring a temperature value in a washing compartment of the appliance upon executing a draining process, and supplying fresh water to the washing compartment of the appliance. The method may include measuring, when the fresh water has been supplied, whether the process water being accommodated in a sump of the appliance is at a target temperature value or not and if not adjusting the temperature of the process water in the sump to attain the target temperature value.
Dishwasher comprising a suction unit
A domestic dishwasher includes a wash container which has a loading opening. The loading opening of the wash container can be closed by a door. A suction apparatus is provided to suction steam and/or air, in particular moisture-laden air, escaping from the loading opening. The suction apparatus has at least one inlet window located outside a wet chamber of the wash container.
WAREWASHER WITH AIR ASSISTED WASHING AND/OR RINSING
A warewash machine carries out at least one of (i) delivering both compressed air and rinse liquid to a plurality of wash spray nozzles of the warewash machine for spraying onto the wares during at least part of a washing operation of a ware cleaning cycle, wherein the wash liquid is recirculated from a wash tank below the spray zone; or (ii) lowering wares from the spray zone into a wash tank below the spray zone to submerge the wares within wash liquid of the wash tank and delivering compressed air into the wash tank during at least part of a washing operation of a ware cleaning cycle; or (iii) delivering both compressed air and rinse liquid to a plurality of rinse spray nozzles of the warewash machine for spraying onto the wares during at least part of a rinsing operation of a ware cleaning cycle.
Clean status indicator
A clean status indicator is disclosed for use with a cleaning device such as a dishwasher. At least one weight sensor may be configured to sense the weight of objects within the washing compartment. In some approaches at least one temperature sensor is configured to monitor a change of temperature occurring within a washing compartment. A visual display is positioned within a housing for conveying a clean/dirty status of objects within the washing compartment. A controller is in communication with the at least one sensor and the visual display. The controller includes a status logic receiving data from the at least one sensor to determine the clean/dirty status of objects within the washing compartment and display the clean/dirty status on the visual display.
