In a self-propelled construction machine (1), in particular road milling machine or surface miner, for working a ground pavement, comprising a milling drum (10), which is mounted in a machine frame, wherein a milling cut develops during milling of the ground pavement with the milling drum (10), wherein the milling drum (10) comprises a first and a second end side, at least a first measuring device, which is arranged next to the first end side of the milling drum (10) and measures the distance of the machine frame relative to the ground pavement next to the first end side of the milling drum (10), at least a second measuring device, which is arranged next to the second end side of the milling drum (10) and measures the distance of the machine frame relative to the ground pavement next to the second end side of the milling drum (10), and a control device (40) for controlling the milling depth, wherein, in a first milling operation, the control device (40) determines the milling depth by means of measurements performed by the first and the second measuring device, it is provided for the following features to be achieved: a second milling operation is detectable by means of the control device (40), in which the milling drum (10) is positioned on an as yet non-milled milling cut that is arranged next to a previously milled milling cut, wherein the control device (40), as soon as the second milling operation is detected, uses measurements performed by at least a third measuring device in lieu of the first and/or the second measuring device for determining the milling depth.

RELATIVE VELOCITY BASED ACTUATOR VELOCITY CALIBRATION SYSTEM

A milling machine has a frame, ground engaging tracks that support the frame, a first actuator connecting the frame to a first track of the ground engaging tracks and a second actuator connecting the frame to a second track from the ground engaging tracks. The milling machine has an orientation sensor that determines an orientation of the frame. The milling machine has a controller that operates the first and second actuators to raise or lower the frame. The controller determines the frame orientation using the orientation sensor. The controller also determines a velocity error between actuator velocities of the first and second actuators based on the frame orientation and a target orientation of the frame. The controller determines a control parameter for the second actuator based on the velocity error and operates the second actuator using the determined control parameter.

A dump body pivot pin, suspension node, and rear frame connection comprises a dump body pivot pin boss, a rear suspension connection boss, outer and inner upper rear frame tube connection bosses, outer and inner lower rear frame tube connection bosses, upper and lower beams, a beam connection web, and a support tube connection boss. The dump pivot pin boss has a pivot bore, a pin bore center axis, and inner and outer flat surfaces. The rear suspension connection boss includes a suspension connection center axis and inner and outer flat surfaces. The upper beam connects the outer and inner upper rear frame tube connection bosses to the dump body pivot pin boss. The lower beam connects the outer lower rear frame connection boss to the rear suspension connection boss and the dump body pivot pin boss and the inner lower rear frame tube connection boss to the dump body pivot pin boss.

DISTANCE BASED ACTUATOR VELOCITY CALIBRATION SYSTEM

A milling machine may have a frame, ground engaging tracks that support the frame, and an actuator that adjusts a height of the frame relative to the track. The milling machine may have a control valve that selectively controls a flow of fluid into or out of the actuator based on the current supplied to the control valve. The milling machine may have a controller that determines the amount of current required to operate the actuator at a nominal actuator velocity and supplies that current to the control valve. The controller determines a measured actuator velocity based on a time required to extend or retract the actuator by a predetermined length, and adjusts the amount of current based on the measured and nominal actuator velocities. The controller also supplies the adjusted amount of current to the control valve to adjust the height of the frame relative to the track.

The working machine further includes a first propulsion axle arranged in the first side, a second propulsion axle arranged in the second side, a first propulsion axle suspension arrangement arranged between the first propulsion axle and the working machine frame; and a second propulsion axle suspension arrangement arranged between the second propulsion axle and the working machine frame. In the load dumping state the second propulsion axle suspension arrangement is stiff.

ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION FOR A VEHICLE

A system for dynamically managing individual suspension settings for a vehicle based on a determined suspension mode is provided. Based on the user input and obtained sensor input, the system can then determine a suspension mode for a plurality of individually controllable components by specifying values or commands for each controllable component. A first mode may correspond to a lowering of the plurality of controllable. A second mode may correspond to lowering two controllable components corresponding to the rear wheels of the vehicle and raising two controllable components corresponding to front wheels of the vehicle. A third mode may correspond to a lowering of the plurality of controllable components to effectively drop the height of the vehicle to a threshold point. The system may further implement various validation processes that can validate the determined suspension mode and make further adjustment to individual controllable portions based on load or ground measurements.

The outer lift cylinder connection boss, the inner drop tube connection boss, and the center cylinder can have a common center axis. The center lower frame connection can also have a rearward angular beam and a forward horizontal beam.
