WATER-GUIDING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A WATER-GUIDING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
A water-conducting domestic appliance includes a detection unit configured to detect a type of item to be washed as the item is loaded into the water-conducting domestic appliance, and an output unit configured to output a signal carrying information for a user as a function of the detected type of item.
Dishwasher and controlling method thereof
A dishwasher includes a tub that accommodates dishes; a nozzle assembly that sprays washing water; a vane assembly that is moved between a first position and a second position of an inside of the tub and changes a progression path of the washing water so that the sprayed washing water can be directed toward the dishes; and a controller that moves the vane assembly to the second position if the vane assembly is disposed at the first position. When a linear washing portion washes a small quantity of dishes by spraying washing water while making a reciprocal motion in part of an inside of a washing chamber, a washing time can be reduced, and concentrated washing can also be performed.
AUTOCALIBRATING DOSING METHOD
A dosing method for dosing a chemical product, particularly a detergent, in a dishwasher includes detecting a first loading signal of a washing liquid in a washing tank of the dishwasher; dosing a first quantity of chemical product in the washing liquid to obtain a washing mixture; detecting a conductivity value of the washing mixture at a first loading condition of the dishwasher; storing a conductivity threshold value equal to the conductivity value of the washing mixture at a first loading condition; and dosing of a further quantity of chemical product in the washing mixture at an operation condition of the dishwasher in such a way to adjust a further conductivity value of the washing mixture detected in the operating condition until reaching the conductivity threshold value.
Heating device for domestic appliances with optical liquid-level sensor
Heating device for domestic appliances comprising a base, a coil resistor extending from said base, and an optical sensor able to determine the level of washing liquid around said coil resistor.
System, retrofit module and method for monitoring a current operational state of a program-controlled domestic appliance
A current operational state of a program-controlled domestic appliance is monitored while it carries out an operating process. The monitoring system includes a retrofit module and a communication device separate from the retrofit module and from the domestic appliance. The retrofit module has a fastening arrangement for releasable fastening on an outer face of an appliance housing, a data exchange unit for wireless communication, and a sensor arrangement with a magnetic field sensor that detects a magnetic field that is generated by a drive motor of the domestic appliance and that penetrates outwards through the appliance housing. The system determines the current operational state of the domestic appliance with the aid of detected measured values of the magnetic field and outputs the state via the communication device.
Dish treating appliance with diverter valve position sensing
A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation and including a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber receiving dishes for treatment according to the automatic cycle of operation, multiple sprayers emitting a liquid into the treating chamber, and a diverter valve having a manifold defining a plenum with an inlet and multiple outlets and a membrane movably mounted within the plenum and having at least one through opening, which is sequentially aligned with the multiple outlets upon movement of the membrane.
Household appliance and method of opening the same
A method of opening a door of a household appliance having a cabinet with an open face providing access to a treating chamber where an article is received for treatment according to a useful cycle of operation is provided. The method includes: sensing a presence of at least a portion of a person, visually indicating and automatically opening the door in response to the sensed presence.
Method for operating a water-conducting domestic appliance
A method for operating a water-conducting domestic appliance, such as a dishwasher, includes filling the water-conducting domestic appliance with a minimum amount of filling water that is circulated by a pump, and checking a water flow diverter for malfunctions and determining from an operational parameter of an electromotor that drives the pump whether the pump runs smoothly, thereby indicating whether the quantity of filling water corresponds to at least a nominal quantity of filling water. When the water flow diverter is not malfunctioning, the pump is again checked for smooth running or a refilling step is carried out to increase the minimum amount of filling water. Conversely, when the water flow diverter is malfunctioning, the check for smooth running or the refilling step are omitted.
Method and circuit for determining faults in appliances
A washing and/or drying appliance circuit system having an electric load, first and second power supply terminals, first and second switching elements operable for coupling/decoupling the power supply terminals to terminals of the electric load, a control unit for operating the switching elements, and a conditioning arrangement. The conditioning arrangement has a unidirectional signal flow element coupled between the first supply terminal for receiving a supply signal and the second load terminal, and an impedance arrangement coupled between the first load terminal and the control unit. With the first and second switching elements in the opened-states the first supply terminal, the unidirectional signal flow element, the electric load and the impedance arrangement define a conductive path providing a check signal to the control unit. The control unit is configured for determining a fault in the circuit system based on the check signal.
Solid chemical product dispensing using recycled fluid
Dispensing techniques utilize existing fluid to dispense a solid block of chemical product concentrate. The solid chemical product concentrate may include, for example, detergents, disinfectants, sanitizers, rinse agents, or other cleaning agents. The dispenser monitors and controls the concentration of the chemical product in a use solution. When the concentration of the use solution falls outside of a target range, the dispenser routes existing fluid from within the system to the dispenser, where it interacts with and dispense a solid chemical product concentrate, thus raising the concentration of the chemical product in the use solution. In a dishmachine application, the existing fluid may include post wash or rinse fluid from the dishmachine, or may include use solution from a sump, tank, or other use solution storage container.
