Harvester cleaning system with conveyor enhanced cascades

A preparation section of a combine harvester that is configured to receive a mixture of grain and material other than grain (MOG) from a threshing section of the combine harvester. The preparation section includes a conveyor positioned beneath the threshing section that is configured to transport the grain and MOG in a downstream direction toward a cleaning section, and a deflector positioned at a downstream end of a conveyor that is configured to launch the grain and MOG into the air and cause at least partial separation of the MOG and grain prior to falling onto the cleaning section.

An apparatus for separating plant material from a harvested plant includes a frame and: (a) a planar sheet attached to the frame, the planar sheet having a thickness thereof and an aperture therethrough, the aperture having a length defining a longitudinal axis and a width equal to or greater than the thickness of the planar sheet; and (b) a motor-driven blade defining a cutting edge dimensioned for sweeping adjacent to one side of the planar sheet, the cutting edge being aligned with the longitudinal axis when adjacent to the aperture.

The planar sheet may be sloped in a downwardly sloped direction toward a receiving tray for receiving separated plant material. A plurality of apertures of different widths may be covered by pairs of oppositely sliding covers having beveled edges at the apertures. A path from each aperture in the downwardly sloped direction does not intersect any other aperture.

Stripper harvesting apparatus wherein the processing devices extend over a predominant or the entire part of the working width and wherein air from a fan and the crop stripper rotor air stream flow through the cleaning air channel

A harvesting apparatus for harvesting cereal grains, rice, grains or seeds, is operated as a front, side or rear attachment and has a crop stripper extending over a working width which is generating a rotor air stream, an inclined chute having a first edge facing the crop stripper and a second edge facing away from the crop stripper. The second edge is disposed to lie lower than the first edge facing the crop stripper and is attached between a threshing apparatus and a separation apparatus which extend over the predominant or the entire part of the working width. The harvesting apparatus has a cleaning air channel, wherein air from a fan and the crop stripper rotor air stream flow through the cleaning air channel for cleaning the crop. The cleaning air channel extends over the predominant part or the entirety of the working width.

Combine threshing system with crop flow control

A threshing system for an agricultural harvester includes a rotor and a substantially cylindrical cage that surrounds at least a portion of the rotor. The threshing system also features a material flow adjustor for controlling axial movement of material through the cage. The material flow adjustor is movably mounted adjacent to a threshing space and includes at least one material conveying edge that enters the threshing space. The material flow adjustor is moveable between a first operative position, in which the at least one material conveying edge is spaced from the rotor in a radial direction by a first distance, and a second operative position in which the at least one material conveying edge is spaced from the rotor in the radial direction by a second distance, the second distance being less than the first distance.
