A combine includes a sorter 2B including a sieve case 23 drivable to swing; a first chaff sieve 27 held by the sieve case 23 and configured to receive a processing target falling through a receiver net 8 and sort the processing target; a second chaff sieve 28 held by the sieve case 23 in such a manner as to coincide with the first chaff sieve 27 in the front-back direction relative to the sorter 2B and configured to receive a processing target falling through the first chaff sieve 27 and sort the processing target; and a winnowing fan 29 configured to blow sorting air along the first and second chaff sieves 27 and 28.

Combine harvester with improved chopper and spreader arrangement

A combine harvester has at least one rotor oriented in the longitudinal direction of the harvester and configured to separate grains and light chaff from a stream of residue material transported to the distal end of the rotor, where said stream is ejected downwards into a chopper housing. The chopper housing has a pair of chopper wheels configured so that the stream of residue material is ejected directly into the area between said chopper wheels, with essentially no residue being allowed to enter the space between the circumference of the wheels and the sidewalls of the chopper housing. The harvester also has a spreader with a pair of laterally placed spreader openings in the chopper housing, preferably with a pair of spreader snouts mounted on said openings.

Adjustable vanes for use in a cylindrical rotor cage of an agricultural harvester

An adjustable vane system for use with a rotor cage of a threshing system of an agricultural harvester. The vane system includes a vane having a generally helically curved inner profile; a surface being an outer profile that is opposite the inner profile and is generally helically curved over a portion of the vane; a first flat portion proximate an end of the vane on the outer profile; and a second flat portion proximate to another end of the vane on the outer profile.

Methods and systems for threshing/separating grains and legumes utilizing concaves

Methods and systems utilize multiple components to improve the threshing operation within an agricultural combine. The methods and systems include a unique concave design, open valley rasp bars, and restrictor plates. Application of the methods and systems' components allows more efficient threshing operations for large grains such as corn and, also, for small grains such as soybeans resulting in an increased capture and retention of seed from the threshing operation.
