WINDSHIELD
A windshield according to the present invention includes a first glass plate that includes a first surface and a second surface, a second glass plate that includes a first surface and a second surface and is arranged such that the first surface of the second glass plate faces the second surface of the first glass plate, and an intermediate film that is sandwiched between the first glass plate and the second glass plate. The first glass plate includes a first end portion and a second end portion that is opposite to the first end portion, and a thickness of the first glass plate decreases from the first end portion toward the second end portion. In the first glass plate, a surface compressive stress on the first end portion side is higher than a surface compressive stress on the second end portion side.
Shaped glass laminates and methods for forming the same
Embodiments of a laminate including a first curved glass substrate comprising a first viscosity (poises) at a temperature of 630 C.; a second curved glass substrate comprising a second viscosity that is greater than the first viscosity at a temperature of 630 C.; and an interlayer disposed between the first curved glass substrate and the second curved glass substrate, are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the first curved glass substrate exhibits a first sag depth that is within 10% of a second sag depth of the second curved glass substrate. In one or more embodiments, the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate exhibit a shape deviation therebetween of about 5 mm or less as measured by an optical three-dimensional scanner or exhibit minimal optical distortion. Embodiments of vehicles including such laminates and methods for making such laminates are also disclosed.
Vehicle window glass, vehicle window glass assembly and manufacturing process thereof
A vehicle window glass includes a glass body provided with a through hole and an insert which is a hollow columnar body and at least one end of which is an open end. The insert is fixed in the through hole of the glass body. It is possible to obtain direct connection between the vehicle window glass and the large-size irregular decoration part with the cooperation of the through hole on the glass body and the insert in the through hole. This connection ensures positioning accuracy and fixing reliability and can be widely applied to various occasions.
Holder-equipped window glass
A holder-equipped window glass includes a window glass having a holder and formed in a curved shape having a first radius of curvature in section in a sliding movement direction in a state where the window glass is mounted on a vehicle. The holder includes a connecting portion and a holder body. The connecting portion extends in a direction away from a lower edge of the holder body, and the connecting portion at least partly includes a circular arcuate portion having a second radius of curvature in section in the sliding movement direction.
Laminated vehicle-side window with a leadthrough for fastening a clamping element
A side window for a vehicle, with an upper edge, a lower edge, a front edge, and a rear edge, at least including a first pane and a second pane that are joined to one another via a thermoplastic intermediate layer, wherein the first pane, the second pane, and the thermoplastic intermediate layer each has a hole and wherein the holes of the first pane, of the second pane, and of the thermoplastic intermediate layer are superposed such that a leadthrough for the fastening of a clamping element extends through the entire side window, and wherein the hole of the first pane is larger than the hole of the second pane.
VEHICLE WINDOW UNIT
A vehicle window unit that includes side curved regions that are arranged, in the installed state, near a, in particular standing, pillar of the vehicle body, wherein the curved regions are at least partially coloured in a transmittance reducing manner. The degree of colouration correlates with the degree of curvature.
Vehicle and windshield for attachment to a vehicle
A windshield and a vehicle having a windshield are provided. The windshield includes a right-side bulging portion disposed at a right-side lower portion, a left-side bulging portion disposed at a left-side lower portion, and at least one protrusion disposed at an upper edge.
MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING A DISPLAY APPARATUS WITH TWO INTEGRALLY FORMED SUBREGIONS ARRANGED AT AN ANGLE TO ONE ANOTHER
At least one piece of information is displayed by a display apparatus in a motor vehicle. The display apparatus has a first subregion in the form of a viewing window of the motor vehicle, where the viewing window is part of the boundary of an interior of the motor vehicle. A second display subregion, designed to display the information, is formed integrally with the first subregion, such that the first subregion and the second display subregion lead into one another at an angle. At least regions of the second display subregion are designed so as to project into the interior of the motor vehicle.
Motor Vehicle Side Window Arrangement
A motor vehicle side window arrangement has a side window pane, which has a left edge, a right edge, a top edge connecting the left and right edges in the top region thereof and a bottom edge connecting the left and right edges in the bottom region thereof, which bottom edge is operatively connected to a window lever, and a seal. In the closed state of the side window pane, the seal has a left section adjacent to the left edge, a right section adjacent to the right edge, a top section adjacent to the top edge and a seal base. An improved sealing effect is obtained by the right edge adjacent to the right section of the seal having, in the top region thereof, a smaller distance from the seal base than in the bottom region thereof.
Glass plate, laminated glass, and windshield
This glass plate has: a first main surface and a second main surface; and a first end surface and a second end surface that abut on the first main surface and the second main surface, respectively, wherein the glass plate has a wedge-shaped cross-sectional shape in which the thickness on the first end surface side is less than that on the second end surface side. The glass plate has: a first chamfered section which includes a first apical end having a curved surface shape at the first end surface; and a second chamfered section which includes a second apical end having a curved surface shape at the second end surface, and the first apical end and the second apical end are formed in the same shape.
