A lock system for operation of a roll top cover for covering a cargo bed of a vehicle enables a plurality of locking or engagement points. The system includes: one or more lock assemblies configured to operate a plurality of locking mechanisms for reversibly engaging the cargo bed; and an actuator assembly having an actuator operably connected to the lock assemblies for operation thereof between locked and unlocked positions.

Rotation of the actuator may drive each of the latches from an open position of the latch to a closed position, while rotation of the actuator in an opposite direction may drive each of the latches from the closed position of the latch to the open position of the latch.

A removable top for a motor vehicle is described, comprising a fabric cover, which can be coupled to a body of the motor vehicle, a coupling element designed to be interposed between said cover and said body; the coupling element comprises, in turn: a support designed to engage a compartment defined by said body; and a first gasket defining a first peripheral edge of the coupling element, on which the cover can be arranged so as to abut against it, a second peripheral edge opposite said first edge; the first gasket delimiting a first convex region of the support; the second peripheral edge further comprises at least one first segment (47) delimiting at least one second convex region of said support.

A tonneau cover access panel assembly connectable to a vehicle that eliminates the need for side rails to both locate and tension a tonneau cover. The assembly also reduces weight and complexity. The assembly incorporates a readily accessible rear latching system that reduces or eliminates interference with the tonneau cover during operation. The assembly also incorporates a tonneau cover tensioning system. The tension seals out environmental elements and holds the tonneau cover and locating bows in place. The assembly holds the tonneau in the closed tension state keeping the tonneau cover secured and tight until the cover is opened by an operator. The assembly is movable between a closed position and a fully open/stowable position and any intermediate positions. The assembly is also movable between at least a first open position and the deployed position for more limiting access to the cargo bed of the vehicle when desired.

An apparatus is provided for locking a truck cover against unauthorized release, where the truck cover has a latching device attached to the underside including a pull cable exposed at an opening to be manually pulled to release the latch projection. The apparatus provides a housing to engage over the opening and a rotatable actuator that engages the cable with a manually operable handle which is located on the side of the latch facing away from the end edge so as to be inaccessible until the tail gate is opened.

An apparatus is provided for locking a truck cover against unauthorized release, where the truck cover has a latching device attached to the underside including a pull cable exposed at an opening to be manually pulled to release the latch projection. An assembly for a vehicle roof cover, wherein the cover can be moved from a closed position for closing a roof opening into an open position for at least partially releasing the roof opening. The assembly may have: a cover carrier for carrying the cover, a positionally fixed guide rail, and a carriage mounted so as to be displaceable in the guide rail along an opening direction. The cover carrier has a positionally fixed slotted guide to which the carriage may be coupled in the closed position, such that a deployment of the cover along a vertical direction (Z direction) is blocked in the closed position. The cover carrier has a locking apparatus configured so that a movement of the cover carrier along the vertical direction (Z direction) is limited in the closed position.

The present invention is directed a tonneau system. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide a tonneau system, which includes multiple frame bars interconnected by latches. At least one of latches includes a rod that is operably coupled to its main portion, which includes an opening to accommodate the rod. The rod attaches to a hook jaw that includes two openings for attaching to the truck frame. There are other embodiments as well.
