A position sensor including: a power supply terminal to which a power supply voltage is applied; a ground terminal to which a ground voltage is applied; an output terminal that outputs a signal; a detection portion that operates based on the power supply voltage and the ground voltage, and detects a position of a detection target by a magnetic resistance element whose resistance value changes according to a movement of the detection target; and a signal processing portion that operates based on the power supply voltage and the ground voltage, and processes a signal input from the detection portion.

Shift gate assembly for vehicle including gate seal and method of using same

A shift gate assembly that can include a shift plate, a gate seal and a shift lever. The shift plate can include a lever opening having an opening centerline. The gate seal can be made of an elastic material and connected to the shift plate and extend along the lever opening. The gate seal can include a slit extending along the lever opening and offset with respect to the opening centerline. The shift lever can extend through the lever opening and the slit, be selectively movable along the lever opening and the slit, and elastically deform the gate seal as the shift lever moves along the slit.

The control apparatus drives the actuator apparatus to release the lock on the power transmission mechanism by the lock mechanism based on the shift range of the shift-by-wire system being switched from the parking range to the non-parking range. The control apparatus performs torque correction control in which an output torque of the electric motor is corrected such that a load acting on the lock mechanism from the power transmission mechanism is reduced based on the shift range of the shift-by-wire system being switched from the parking range to the non-parking range.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DRIVING OF VEHICLE

An apparatus for controlling a vehicle includes a vehicle state detector for detecting a vehicle state, a function unit that performs at least one vehicle function, an operation unit that enables a transmission operation to allow selection of a transmission stage from among a plurality of transmission stages, and a position adjusting unit to switch the operation unit between a first position where the transmission operation is disabled and a second position where the transmission operation is enabled, by rotating the operation unit with respect to the functional unit, based on the detected vehicle state.

Position detection device

A position detection device includes two detection systems that are respectively fed from power supply systems different from each other, and displace together with a shift lever. Each detection system can output detection patterns with four digits. A detection pattern when being located at a given position is different from a detection pattern when being located at another position. In any detection pattern, outputs of certain two digits among the four digits are set so as to be identical to each other, and to be different from outputs of two other digits. Alternatively, outputs of certain three digits among the four digits are set to be identical to each other, and to be different from an output of another digit.

Position detection device

A position detection device includes two detection systems that are respectively fed from power supply systems different from each other, and displace together with a shift lever. Each detection system can output detection patterns with four digits. A detection pattern when being located at a given position is different from a detection pattern when being located at another position. In any detection pattern, outputs of certain two digits among the four digits are set so as to be identical to each other, and to be different from outputs of two other digits. Alternatively, outputs of certain three digits among the four digits are set to be identical to each other, and to be different from an output of another digit.
