A data update device for electronic control devices includes: a charge schedule setting unit for setting a charge schedule of a battery of an electric vehicle; a charge control unit for charging the battery according to the charge schedule; and a data update control unit for updating data of one electronic control device by acquiring update data from a center device on a condition that an acknowledgement of the user is obtained when receiving a notification of the update data from the center device together with information about time required for the updating, and determining that the updating is possible even if the charge control unit charges the battery according to the charge schedule.

A system and method are disclosed for retrofitting mechanical workover rigs with electric motors to create a hybrid mechanical and electric drive. The process involves the replacement of the combustion engine with one or more electric motors to drive various components of the rig. The retrofit design allows for cleaner, more precise, and more efficient operations while eliminating the need for hydrocarbons as fuel and thus reducing associated greenhouse gas emissions. It also enables the installation of a computer control which, among other benefits, allows more precise control of the rig's operations than is possible with a mechanical transmission. The electric motors may be driven by a battery energy storage system.
Charging station for tracked mobile object
Methods and systems related to a charging station for a tracked mobile object are disclosed. In one embodiment, a charging station is provided. The charging station comprises a charging port for a remote control, a regulator that provides power from a power source to the charging port, a transceiver that transmits an outbound positioning signal to the remote control, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions for a method. The method comprises at least one of generating the outbound positioning signal and receiving an inbound positioning signal.

CHARGING BASE WITH REPLACEABLE TERMINAL ELEMENT FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A charging base with a replaceable terminal element for an electric vehicle includes a fixing component and a replaceable terminal element that cooperate with each other. A DC replaceable terminal assembly includes a plastic sheath, insertion grooves and a sheath base connected to each other. A terminal is connected inside each of the insertion grooves. The sheath base is connected to the fixing component. A lower part of the terminal is provided with a knurled structure, and a lower end of the terminal is connected to the jack socket of the fixing component. A bottom part of the sheath base is provided with a waterproof groove and a terminal protection ring. A sealing gasket is connected in the waterproof groove, and has through holes.
Microcontroller dual input boot assist control circuit
An automotive control module includes a microcontroller having an access port, and that permits reprogramming of its functions responsive to a voltage at the access port being greater than a first predefined threshold upon power-up or reset thereof. The automotive control module also includes a boot assist control circuit lacking logical elements and including a pair of input ports, an output port directly electrically connected to the access port, and a plurality of capacitors, resistors, and transistors electrically connected between the pair and output port. The plurality outputs a voltage to the output port at least equal to the first predefined threshold responsive to voltages at both the input ports being greater than a second predefined threshold, and outputs a voltage to the output port less than the first predefined threshold responsive to the voltage at either one of the input ports being less than the second predefined threshold.

A through the road (TTR) hybridization strategy is proposed to facilitate introduction of hybrid electric vehicle technology in a significant portion of current and expected trucking fleets. In some cases, the technologies can be retrofitted onto an existing vehicle (e.g., a truck, a tractor unit, a trailer, a tractor-trailer configuration, at a tandem, etc.). In some cases, the technologies can be built into new vehicles. In some cases, one vehicle may be built or retrofitted to operate in tandem with another and provide the hybridization benefits contemplated herein. By supplementing motive forces delivered through a primary drivetrain and fuel-fed engine with supplemental torque delivered at one or more electrically-powered drive axles, improvements in overall fuel efficiency and performance may be delivered, typically without significant redesign of existing components and systems that have been proven in the trucking industry.
