A medical device comprising a handle extending between a first end and a second end, a first actuator coupled to the first end of the handle, a first shaft coupled to the second end of the handle, and a second shaft extending from the first shaft, the second shaft including a first articulation section and a second articulation section, wherein an articulation of the first actuator relative to the handle is configured to articulate the first articulation section, an articulation of the handle relative to the first shaft is configured to articulate the second articulation section, and the first articulation section and the second articulation section are restricted to articulating only in a first plane.
Endoscopic devices and related methods
An endoscopic device includes a single-use cannula configured for insertion through a cervix into a uterus, a camera secured to a distal end region of the single-use cannula for acquiring images of the uterus, a connection hub secured to a proximal end region of the cannula, a reusable display configured to present the images acquired by the camera and that is securable to the connection hub, and a handle secured to the connection hub. The handle is pivotable between a first position in which the handle is stowed along the connection hub and arranged to prevent attachment of the reusable display to the connection hub and a second position in which the handle is deployed to an orientation that is antiparallel to the connection hub and arranged to permit attachment of the reusable display to the connection hub.
Optical fibre with a functionalised exploration end
An optical fibre having a functionalised distal exploration end including a sheath, and a ferrule rigidly connected to the sheath at the distal exploration end, characterised in that the distal exploration end has a functionalised head which is removably attached on the ferrule. Also, a method of assembling the optical fibre.
Detachable endoscope
A detachable endoscope includes an insertion unit including an illuminating and image pickup unit, an operation unit configured to bendingly operate a front end of the insertion unit, and a detachable unit configured to detachably couple the insertion unit and the operation unit to each other, wherein the detachable unit comprises: a first detachable module disposed at the insertion unit in such a manner as to be connected to respective one ends of first and second operating wire and third and fourth operating wires juxtaposedly arranged in the insertion unit; and a second detachable module disposed at the operation unit in such a manner as to be connected to respective both ends of upper and lower chains wound around upper and lower sprockets of the operation unit.
Endoscope image-capturing device and endoscope device
An endoscope image-capturing device includes: a first case inside of which is sealed; an image sensor arranged inside the first case; an electro-optic conversion element arranged outside the first case and configured to convert an image signal output from the image sensor into an optical signal; and a sealing member sealing the electro-optic conversion element.
Mounting member and endoscopic device
A mounting member includes: a body portion provided in a camera head including an image sensor, the body portion being rotatable about a first axis that passes through the body portion and connectable with an endoscope; a locking protrusion provided in the body portion and configured to lock with the endoscope; a detachable button configured to be movable with respect to the body portion and control attachment and detachment of the endoscope to and from the body portion; and a spring whose load applied to the locking protrusion changes according to an advancing/retreating operation of the detachable button with respect to the body portion. The detachable button includes a sliding portion extending in an advancing/retreating direction with respect to the body portion and configured to slide with respect to the body portion. The body portion includes a guide portion configured to guide a moving direction of the sliding portion.
Endoscope
An endoscope includes an insertion portion provided with a controllable curved tube. The controllable curved tube includes a plurality of circular tube sections connected in series. A first C-shaped engaging portion is arranged at one end of each tube section. A first included angle is formed between the opening direction of the first C-shaped engaging portion and the axial direction of the tube section to which the first C-shaped engaging portion belongs. A first C-shaped notch is arranged around the outside of the first C-shaped engaging portion. The other end of the tube section is provided with a second C-shaped engaging portion that is engaged with the first C-shaped notch of another tube section. The inner side of the second C-shaped engaging portion is provided with a second C-shaped notch and a spherical protrusion which are engaged with a first C-shaped engaging portion of another tube section.
Apparatus and method for providing improved health care
A system for acquiring physiological data from a patient, the system comprising: a smartphone configured for wireless communication; an adapter for releasably mounting to the smartphone; a sensor module for releasably mounting to the adapter, the sensor module comprising at least one sensor for acquiring physiological data from the patient; and a software app running on the smartphone for (i) wirelessly controlling operation of the sensor module and wirelessly receiving the physiological data from the sensor module, and (ii) wirelessly communicating with a remote location.
REAL-TIME SAMPLING DEVICE
An elongated access device used in a medical system. The elongated access device slidably receives a medical tool and an ultrasound probe. The elongated access device includes a sheath and an intraluminal tip attached to the distal end of the sheath. The intraluminal tip includes ramp and nose donuts being spaced apart from one another and configured to be attached to one or more elongated sleeves.
