Endoscope tip accessory device with dimension variability compensation
Embodiments of the disclosure include an endoscope accessory assembly for use on an endoscope, during procedures. The endoscope accessory assembly may comprise an accessory device comprising a first base, a plurality of flexible struts, and webbing connecting each of the flexible struts. The accessory device is configured to receive a distal end of an endoscope. The endoscope accessory assembly may further comprise a dimension-compensating component comprising a second base, a plurality of flexible arms extending radially out from the second base, and at least one chamber at a distal end of the flexible arms. The accessory device is configured to be over-molded onto the dimension-compensating component in order to form the endoscope accessory assembly.
Lung biopsy devices, systems and methods for locating and biopsying an object
According to embodiments, a substantially coaxial arrangement of a camera, a light source, and an ultrasonic sensor can be positioned in an housing of a system that can be deployed from the tool port of a standard bronchoscope. Illumination from the light source facilitates positioning of the system by an operator using information from the camera. The ultrasonic system can determine when an object to be biopsied is adjacent to a biopsy needle.
ENDOSCOPIC DEVICE REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems and methods are provided for the non-traumatic removal of a variety of devices placed over, or on, endoscopic instruments or endoscopes. A device removal system includes a removal element for gripping the device having a body with a central portion and adjacent gripping arms movably coupled to the central portion. The system further includes an insertion device coupled to the removal element and an expanding instrument. The insertion device has an elongate shaft configured for advancement into an opening or channel within the device to be removed. The expanding instrument is configured for insertion into the insertion device to expand the shaft of the insertion device and obtain a firmer grip on the device, thereby reducing the local pressure applied to any one portion of the device, which reduces the wear and tear on the instrument and minimizes damage to epoxy joints and other sealed areas.
DETECTION OF RESIDUAL FLUID IN ENDOSCOPE CHANNELS
A device and method for testing for the presence of liquid in a cannula of a medical instrument is described. The device includes a flexible guide member having a first end, a second end and a length extending from the first end to the second end, an elongated member arranged within the flexible guide member, and an absorbent material attached to one of the elongated member. The flexible guide member is inserted into the cannula, the flexible guide member is manipulated to cause the absorbent material to move through the cannula. The absorbent material is analyzed for the presence of liquid.
FLUID CONTAINER ADAPTERS
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container, so to enable access to the contents of the fluid container, such as from an endoscopic system via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that can couple with an opening in a variety of fluid containers to place one or more tubes in fluid communication with an interior of any particular one of the variety of fluid containers.
UNIVERSAL THREAD FLUID CONTAINER ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container enclosure systems that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. The enclosure systems are configured to fit a wide range of fluid container necks, ports, or other openings, including various opening dimensions, thread finishes, and/or thread dimensions. In one embodiments, an enclosure system may include a cap having multiple carriages arranged therein. For example, a primary carriage may be arranged within the cap to engage with larger-dimensioned bottles. A secondary carriage may be arranged to float within the primary carriage to engage smaller-dimensioned bottles that bypass the primary carriage. Other embodiments are described.
UNIVERSAL FLUID CONTAINER ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container enclosure systems that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. The enclosure systems are configured to fit a wide range of fluid container necks, ports, or other openings, including various opening dimensions and thread finishes. In one embodiment, an enclosure system may include a plug having a sleeve extending therefrom. The plug may be deformed manually or via a plunger system to reduce the outer dimension thereof to fit the plug in the neck of a fluid container. Once the plug is arranged within the neck, the sleeve may be folded down over an outer surface of the neck to form or reinforce a seal between the enclosure system and the neck of the fluid container. Other embodiments are described.

MEDICAL DEVICE CONTROLLER
In one example, a controller configured for use with a medical device, may include a body configured to removably couple to the medical device. The body may include a gear configured to mate with a first actuator of the medical device; and a second actuator, and the actuation of the second actuator may be configured to initiate movement of the gear and the first actuator.
Attachable Ergonomic Bidirectional Self-Locking Knob-Control Assisting Apparatus for an Endoscope
The present invention relates to an ergonomic bidirectional self-locking mechanism for endoscope angulation control knob operation, which allows for easier access to the endoscope control knobs, reduced muscle exertion for knob operation, and real-time locking of the position of the knobs when turned, as disclosed herein. The invention has benefits for the operator thereof from ergonomic and patient safety perspectives.
