Method and apparatus for enforced provisioning and compliant usage authorization of endoscope applications
An endoscope apparatus capable of ensuring safe and compliant use includes an endoscope, a means for identification of the endoscope, a means for determining whether the endoscope is suitable for a given medical act utilizing the identification of the endoscope, and a disablement means that prevents utilization of the endoscope when determined the endoscope is not suitable for the given medical act. The identification may be on a tag fixed to the endoscope and/or container. The information is checked for a match in a cloud database to ensure the endoscope is the right device for the medical act. If not the right device, the endoscope is deactivated. If the right device, the endoscope is activated and the cloud database is updated accordingly. The cloud database can also be updated at each point in the distribution chain to allow complete traceability.
Endoscope having swinging elevator
An endoscope includes a main body portion that has a housing recession portion that houses an elevator, a drive member arrangement space that houses a drive member and is closed off from the housing recession portion, a lid insertion space that puts the drive member arrangement space and an outer space into communication, and a lid member that can be inserted into the lid insertion space and liquid-tightly closes off the lid insertion space when inserted. Also provided is a fitting/holding member that is fitted to the lid member inserted into the lid insertion space and is fixed to the main body portion, wherein the lid member has a protruding portion, and the fitting/holding member can be inserted into the drive member arrangement space in a direction that is different from a protruding direction of the protruding portion of the lid member.
ENHANCED FLEXIBLE ROBOTIC ENDOSCOPY APPARATUS
An enhanced flexible robotic endoscopy apparatus includes a main body and flexible elongate shaft. The main body comprises a proximal end, a distal end and a housing that extends to the proximal end and the housing comprises a plurality of surfaces and a plurality of insertion inlets which reside on at least one of the surface of the housing at the proximal end of the main body, through which a plurality of channels for endoscopy are accessible. Each of the insertion inlets has insertion axis corresponding thereto, along which flexible elongate assemblies are insertable, with the insertion axes of the insertion inlets being parallel to the central axis of the flexible elongate shaft at the proximal end of the flexible elongate shaft.
INSERTION ASSIST DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPE AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An insertion assist device for an endoscope includes a grip, an operation portion, a liquid storage, and a tubular member. The grip includes a channel through an inside of which an insertion portion of the endoscope is inserted. The operation portion is configured to advance the insertion section by moving forward relative to the grip. The liquid storage is provided on an interior portion of the grip and configured to store a liquid. The tubular member is provided on an interior portion or an exterior portion of the insertion portion of the endoscope, is connected to the liquid storage at one end of the tubular member, and is configured to guide the liquid toward another end of the tubular member opposite to said one end.
Systems, Methods and Devices for Performing Water Aided Endoscopy
Systems, methods and devices for performing water aided endoscopy (WAE) are provided herein. The systems include a plurality of devices designed to create a sealed environment within the body cavity, including a multi-functional plug, valves, balloons and pumps. The systems also provide specialized tools configured for operation within a liquid environment which are designed to interface with the multi-functional seal for insertion into the body cavity while maintaining the seal, including an adjustable constant shape snare. Additional features of the systems and methods include specialized fluids for increasing visibility with the body cavity, dyes and other solutions for image-enhancement and diagnostics, and software for increasing the clarity of the image in real-time.
Endoscope accessory with angularly adjustable exit portal
A medical device comprising an endoscope accessory for attachment to the working end of an endoscope. The coupler device provides a flexible working channel extension from the endoscope so that instruments can exit the endoscope at various angles. The device also provides a protective cover to reduce the ingress of debris, fluid, bacteria, or other unwanted matter from the working end of the endoscope which could lead to infection.
FORCE-SENSITIVE LARYNGOSCOPE SENSOR
Force sensing may be integrated with a laryngoscope and information conveyed to the user when an applied force in a patient's mouth may cause dental trauma. By warning the user, the user may be interrupted before dental trauma occurs, allowing the user to adjust the procedure.
LARYNGEAL MASK AIRWAY FOR GASTROSCOPY
A laryngeal mask airway (LMA) for gastroscopy includes a laryngeal tube for gastroscopy. A drainage tube is fixedly installed on an outer surface of an upper end of the laryngeal tube for gastroscopy. A PC connector is fixedly installed at one end of the drainage tube. A ventilation hole is formed in an outer surface of an upper end of the drainage tube, and a suction hole is formed in an outer surface of a lower end of the laryngeal tube for gastroscopy. An inner cavity and an inflation tube hole are formed inside the laryngeal tube for gastroscopy. The inflation tube hole is disposed under the inner cavity and receives an inflation tube, and a single-cavity connector is fixedly installed at one end of the inflation tube. The LMA absorbs secretions from a patient's esophagus to minimize coughing during a gastroscopy, thereby reducing patient discomfort and pain.
Universal fluid container adapter
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that punctures a fluid container to couple with and gain access to the contents of the fluid container. In one embodiment, for example, a platform may be used to support a fluid container as one or more penetration members attached to a crossmember are advanced into the fluid container along rails connected between the platform and the crossmember. In such embodiments, the one or more penetration members may include lumens to enable a tubing set to access the contents of the fluid container.
Medical systems, devices, and related methods
A medical system includes a tube and a plurality of clips that secure the tube in a partially spiral configuration. The medical system also includes a platform coupled to a radial exterior of the tube. The platform includes at least one hole and a plurality of retaining elements.
