RADIO FREQUENCY SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A radio frequency surgical instrument includes a tubular body; a metal wire having a tip end and a base end, and including a first portion exposed from and disposed outside a distal portion of the tubular body and a second portion disposed in the first lumen; and a fixture fixed to a tip end portion of the wire, being in contact with an inner wall of the first lumen, and having a tip end and a base end, wherein the fixture has a first segment including a portion decreased in outer diameter toward the tip end, and when the first segment is equally tripartitioned into a tip portion, a center portion, and a base portion, a base end of the tip portion in the first segment and a base end of the base portion in the first segment are different in radial sectional shape of the fixture.
ENDOSCOPE MOUTHPIECE, DRAPE ADAPTER, AND ENDOSCOPE MOUTHPIECE DISPOSAL METHOD
An endoscope mouthpiece includes a mouthpiece body, a drape, and a fluid suppression member. The mouthpiece body has a pipe line and has an opening portion provided at an end of the pipe line on a side located outside a body of a patient. The drape is provided integrally with the mouthpiece body and covers a head of the patient. The fluid suppression member is provided in the opening portion to suppress passage of a fluid.
Thin-walled spiral tube for use with endoscope
A polymeric device including: an elongated hollow tube having an outer surface; and a spiral fin wound around the outer surface of the hollow tube; wherein the hollow tube and the spiral fin are formed of a single unitary piece through a molding process. The polymeric device can further include a longitudinal projection projecting from the outer surface of the hollow tube, the longitudinal projection having a greater thickness than other portions of the hollow tube and the longitudinal projection extending at least a portion of a longitudinal length of the hollow tube.
SURGICAL DRAINAGE APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A surgical drain for monitoring an internal site in a patient. The surgical drain can include an outer flexible tube, a first tube, and a second tube. The outer flexible tube can include a plurality of ports extending from a proximal end to a distal patient end. The first tube can be inserted within the first port, having at least one lumen side extending therethrough in fluid communication with a collection device. The first tube is configured to drain fluid from an internal site in the patient to the collection device. The second tube can extend through a second port having a camera at the distal patient end of the second tube.
Endoscopic surgical instrument having a retractable cutting blade and surgical procedure using same
An endoscopic surgical instrument includes a main body assembly, and a cannula having a lumen and formed with a slot. An inner tube, which houses a spring-biased retractable cutting blade assembly having a cutting blade, is mounted on one end of the main body assembly and extends axially therefrom. The tube is receivable within the lumen of the cannula, and may be particularly oriented within the cannula lumen such that the cutting blade may be caused to project from both the tube and the cannula slot. The inner tube has a bore in which the distal end of an endoscope may be received. The instrument may be locked in one position to allow the endoscope to engage the blade assembly and cause the cutting blade to project from the cannula slot during a tissue cutting procedure, or may be locked in another position wherein the cutting blade remains retracted.
ENDOSCOPE FORCEPS VALVE COVER
A forceps valve is provided at a forceps port of the endoscope. An endoscope forceps valve cover includes a cover body, a drape, and a fluid suppression member. The cover body is mounted on the forceps valve. The drape is provided integrally with the cover body and covers at least a part of a user who operates the endoscope. The fluid suppression member suppresses leakage of a fluid from the forceps valve to an outside of the endoscope in a case where the cover body is mounted on the forceps valve.
Endoscopic Ultrasound Fine Needle Aspiration Device
A handle for a medical device includes a proximal segment defining a proximal lumen extending therethrough and sized and shaped to receive an endoscopic medical device therein. A medial segment is received within a distal portion of the proximal segment and has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter thereof. A medial lumen extends through the proximal segment and is open to the proximal lumen. A distal segment is received within a distal portion of the medial segment and defines a distal lumen extending therethrough open to the medial lumen. The distal segment has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the medial segment. The medial segment includes a first movement limiting mechanism limiting movement of an endoscopic medical device inserted therethrough along an axis of the distal lumen and a second movement limiting mechanism limiting advancement of an endoscope attached to the distal body portion.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR AT LEAST PARTIALLY OCCLUDING A BODILY LUMEN
Described herein are devices and related methods for occluding at least a portion of a bodily lumen during a procedure. In some embodiments, the device includes an inner shaft defining a lumen therethrough and a first aperture; and an outer shaft including a flexible member and defining a lumen therethrough and a second aperture positioned proximally on the outer shaft relative to the flexible member. The inner shaft extends through the lumen of the outer shaft, such that at least a portion of the outer shaft is axially translatable toward and away from the distal portion of the inner shaft. The flexible member is movable between an unexpanded configuration and an expanded configuration when at least a portion of the outer shaft is translated axially toward or away from the distal portion of the inner shaft. In some embodiments, the device and methods are used for endoscopy procedures.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, MEDICAL SYSTEM AND CANNULATION METHOD
An information processing system, including a processor comprising hardware. The processor being configured to: acquire an endoscope image from an endoscope, the endoscope image showing a papillary portion, determine route information of a lumen based on the endoscope image, the lumen being at least one of a biliary duct or a pancreatic duct, generate a display image based on a result of the determination of the route information of the lumen, the display image having a route guide image to provide guidance of a route of the lumen leading to the papillary portion superimposed on the endoscope image, and display the display image on a display.
Clip systems for treating body tissues
A device for compressing body tissue includes a clip having a connection portion with first and second clip arms extending therefrom, the clip includes a recess formed on an inner surface of the connection portion, the recess being shaped and sized to slidably receive a mounting bar coupled to an outer surface of an endoscope on which the mounting bar is mounted with inner surfaces of the first and second clip arms maintained in an open position by contact between an endoscope on which the mounting bar is mounted and the inner surfaces of the first and second clip arms. The clip is slidable over the outer surface of an endoscope on which the mounting bar is mounted until the clip moves distally beyond the distal end of the endoscope so that the first and second clip arms spring closed to grip tissue therebetween.
