Concealed vehicle grab handle assembly
Vehicle grab handle assemblies and methods of using the same. A vehicle grab handle assembly may have a grab handle. The grab handle may have a proximal end flush with an exterior surface of a headliner of the vehicle in a retracted position. The exterior surface may face away from a roof of the vehicle. Alternately, the proximal end may be between the exterior surface and the roof in the retracted position. The proximal end may extend out of the exterior surface and away from the roof in an extended position. The vehicle grab handle assembly may have a retraction-extension mechanism. The retraction-extension mechanism may be capable of traversing the grab handle between the retracted position and the extended position.
Vehicle assembly with grab bar and methods of making and using the same
A vehicle assembly can include a frame assembly, a grab bar assembly, a vehicle seat and a crossmember. The frame assembly can define a passenger area and include a left cage side member and a right cage side member. The grab bar assembly can include a left grab bar attached to and extending from the left cage side member and a right grab bar attached to and extending from the right cage side member. The crossmember can be connected to the vehicle seat so as to support the vehicle seat. The crossmember can have a center portion. The left grab bar can be attached to the crossmember at a first location of the crossmember. The right grab bar can be attached to the crossmember at a second location of the crossmember. The first location and the second location can be equally spaced from the center portion.
Vehicle having deployable assist handle and method
A vehicle includes a cabin interior, a support structure within or proximate to the cabin interior, and a deployable assist handle coupled to the support structure. The deployable assist handle includes a handle body, a flexible member coupled to the handle body, a reel configured to receive the flexible member, an actuator operatively coupled to the reel to actuate the reel to extend and retract the flexible member, at least one sensor for sensing a user proximate to the vehicle and generating sensed data based on the sensed user, and a controller determining one or more characteristics of the user from the sensed data and controlling the actuator to actuate the deployable assist handle assembly to adjust a length of the flexible member based on the determined one or more characteristics of the user.
Vehicle trim panel assembly
A vehicle trim panel assembly includes a pillar trim panel, a grab handle extending from the pillar trim panel defining a corner between the pillar trim panel and the grab handle, and a ramp at the corner. The ramp is fixed relative to the pillar trim panel and the grab handle at the corner. The ramp is deformable relative to the grab handle.
HEALTH AND SAFETY HANDLE
A health and safety handle embodied as a multi-purpose rail-gripping device comprises a main handle member ergonomically shaped to be grasped by a user/rider, a rail-gripping arm connected to a first end of the handle, and a holder that is movable relative to the main handle member between a stowed position and a deployed position to hold an object while the main handle member is being grasped. The rail-gripping arm has a gripper to grip a grab rail, pole or bar in a public transit vehicle such as a bus, train, subway, streetcar) to stabilize the rider while isolating the rider's hands from contaminants or health hazards potentially present on the rail/pole/bar. The handle may also include a hook for suspending objects (e.g. backpack, bag, umbrella, etc.). The handle may include magnetic and/or mechanical retention elements for retaining one or multiple other objects/accessories, e.g. beverage container, smartphone or other items.

Handrail
A novel handrail that can be mounted on the side of a recreational vehicle proximate an access door that can be safely grasped by the user to assist in entering or exiting the interior of the vehicle.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes: a vehicle body frame; a drive unit provided on the vehicle body frame and movable on a floor surface; a seat disposed above the vehicle body frame to support buttocks of a user; a lift unit provided between the vehicle body frame and the seat to raise and lower the seat between a low position and a high position; and an operation device provided on at least one of a left side portion and a right side portion of the seat. The operation device includes an operation panel having an operation surface that faces upward, a lever extending upward and forward from a rear portion of the operation panel, and multiple operation members provided on the operation surface. At least one of the multiple operation members is disposed in a position overlapping with the lever as seen from above.

A vehicle includes: a vehicle body frame; a drive unit provided on the vehicle body frame and movable on a floor surface; a seat disposed above the vehicle body frame to support buttocks of a user; a lift unit provided between the vehicle body frame and the seat to raise and lower the seat between a low position and a high position; and at least one support member extending downward from the seat and provided, at a lower portion thereof, with a footrest for supporting soles of the user. The support member is provided to be displaceable vertically relative to the seat, and the support member is displaced such that a distance between the seat and the footrest when the seat is in the high position is greater than a distance between the seat and the footrest when the seat is in the low position.
Bus structure with a vertical handle for passengers
A bus structure, optionally an electric bus structure for one hundred passengers or more. The bus structure includes: a passenger compartment, a side wall with a vertical post and delimiting the passenger compartment, a horizontal support, a vertical handle—or stanchion—along the vertical post and projecting from the horizontal support, a strut projecting from the vertical post to the horizontal support, and a floor structure of reduced thickness. The strut defines a triangle with the wheel housing and the vertical post. The strut is straight or curved.
