A vehicle footrest includes a footrest body that is disposed at a seat front side of a vehicle seat and that is configured to support a foot of an occupant; a restraining member that is provided at a toe-side end portion of the footrest body, and that is movable between a restraining position covering the foot of the occupant from a seat upper side and a retracted position retracted from the restraining position; and a moving mechanism configured to move the restraining member from the retracted position to the restraining position at a time of vehicle collision in which the occupant moves toward the seat front side due to inertia.

A control device for a vehicle that has a footrest that is located in front of and below a driver's seat is provided. The device includes a travel control unit configured to automatically perform travel control that includes at least one of: acceleration/deceleration; and steering, of the vehicle, and a footrest sensor configured to detect that the footrest is pressed. Conditions for the travel control unit to perform the travel control include a condition that the footrest is pressed.

A control device for a vehicle that has a footrest that is located in front of and below a driver's seat is provided. The device includes a travel control unit configured to automatically perform travel control that includes at least one of: acceleration/deceleration; and steering, of the vehicle, and a footrest sensor configured to detect that the footrest is pressed. Conditions for the travel control unit to perform the travel control include a condition that the footrest is pressed.

A vehicle having a vehicle body that includes a floor, partially defining the inside of the passenger compartment of the vehicle, a movable seat extending over the floor in the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and a foot support device for the occupant of the seat extending over the floor near the seat and defining a surface for receiving the feet. The support device is deformable relative to the body of the vehicle so as to modify at least the orientation of the receiving surface. The deformation of the support device is coupled with the movement of the seat such that the movement of the seat causes a coordinated deformation of the support device.

The collapsible travel stool is a stool with an inclined top that may be used as a footrest. The top surface, the left side wall, and the right side wall may be hinged so that the collapsible travel stool collapses flat for storage and transport. The top surface may be an inclined plane adapted for a user to place their feet upon when the collapsible travel stool is open and in front of a seat. The seat base in the deployed position and the lower back support in the deployed position together define a foot cavity configured to receive a foot of a passenger.

Described are recliner sofa systems for a passenger seat. The passenger seat includes a seat back assembly and a seat base assembly. The seat back assembly includes an upper back support and a lower back support, and the lower back support is movable relative to the upper back support between a stowed position and a deployed position. The seat base assembly includes a support and a seat base, and the seat base is movable relative to the support between a stowed position and a deployed position. The seat base in the deployed position and the lower back support in the deployed position together define a foot cavity configured to receive a foot of a passenger.

A transformable seat assembly includes a seat support structure and a back support structure connected to the seat support structure with a hinge defining an axis of rotation. An actuator assembly includes a cylinder and a piston positioned within the cylinder, wherein the cylinder is secured to one of the back support structure or the seat support structure and the piston is secured to other of the one of the back support structure or the seat support structure. Additionally a blocking member is positioned within and adjustable along the cylinder. With blocking member in a first position, piston is limited to travel to a first limit position and the back support structure to a first reclined position. With the blocking member in a second position, piston is limited to travel to a second limit position and back support structure is permitted to rotate to second reclined position.

A footrest for being supported upon a bulkhead of a vehicle, the footrest comprising a support member comprising a storage compartment for receiving and carrying one or more documents or portable electronic devices and a foot member, wherein the foot member is pivotably coupled to the support member such that the foot member is movable between stowed and deployed states and means for releasably retaining the foot member in the deployed state relative to the support member.
