A recliner heart for a vehicle seat recliner assembly may include a first plate, a second plate and one or more pawls. The first plate may define a recess. The second plate may include a first inner diametrical surface having first teeth formed thereon. The pawl may be slidably disposed in the recess between a secure position in which the pawl is engaged with a portion of the teeth of the second plate to restrict relative rotation between the first and second plates and a release position in which the pawl is disengaged from the portion of the teeth of the second plate to allow relative rotation between the first and second plates. One or both lateral sides of the pawl may include one or more slots.

A vehicle seat recliner assembly includes a first recliner heart, a second recliner heart, hand lever and a cross member. The first recliner heart is mounted to a bracket. The second recliner heart is mounted to another bracket. The hand lever is mounted to the first recliner heart and rotatable relative to the brackets to move the first recliner heart between a locked state and an unlocked state. The cross member is connected to the first and second recliner hearts and transmitting torque from the hand lever to the second recliner heart to move the second recliner heart with the first recliner heart between the locked and unlocked states. The cross member has a central part and a plurality of projections extending radially around and from the central part such that the plurality of projections are spaced apart from each other.
Adjustment device for adjusting the inclination of the backrest of a seat of a vehicle
The present invention relates to an adjustment device for adjusting the inclination of the backrest (14) of a seat (10) of a vehicle, which allows to perform both quick adjustments of large angular amplitude and fine adjustments. According to a possible embodiment of the invention, the adjustment device comprises separate control elements (20, 22) for performing quick adjustments and fine adjustments, respectively, of the inclination of the backrest (14). According to another possible embodiment of the invention, the adjustment device comprises a single control element (20) for performing both quick adjustments and fine adjustments of the inclination of the backrest (14).
Vehicle seat comprising a latching device and an additional control device
A vehicle seat comprising at least one first and one second adjustment part and a latching device is provided. The first adjustment part is formed by a backrest of the vehicle seat and the second adjustment part is formed by a seat part of the vehicle seat. The first adjustment part is lockable in a first adjustment region in a plurality of adjustment positions relative to the second adjustment part by means of the latching device, and is adjustable relative to the second adjustment part when the latching device is in a release position, for setting the backrest in its inclination with respect to the seat part. The first adjustment part is adjustable from the first adjustment region into a second adjustment region in which the backrest is folded forward in the direction of the seat part or even onto the seat part.

A locking device for locking two assemblies of a vehicle seat together comprises a blocking element which has a supporting surface, and a locking element which is movable with respect to the blocking element, said locking element having an end face and facing the supporting surface of the blocking element with the end face in a locked position of the locking device, wherein the locking device is unlockable by moving the locking element. Additionally provided is a surface element which is applied to the blocking element to at least partially cover the supporting surface or to the locking element to at least partially cover the end face.

The present invention relates to an adjustment device for adjusting the inclination of the backrest (14) of a seat (10) of a vehicle, which allows to perform both quick adjustments of large angular amplitude and fine adjustments. According to a possible embodiment of the invention, the adjustment device comprises separate control elements (20, 22) for performing quick adjustments and fine adjustments, respectively, of the inclination of the backrest (14). A vehicle seat, including a seat underframe and a backrest mounted pivotably with respect to the seat underframe about a backrest pivot axis, the inclination of which backrest may be adjusted in a comfort range by pivoting about the backrest pivot axis by a fitting arrangement. The fitting arrangement is provided on a first of two longitudinal backrest sides of the backrest and a locking device is provided remote from the first longitudinal backrest side, which locking device is provided to lock the backrest so as to prevent pivoting about the backrest pivot axis beyond the comfort region in the event of a crash and which is coupled to the fitting arrangement to actuate the locking device when the backrest is actuated beyond the comfort region and to release a locking provided by the locking device by actuating the fitting arrangement.

A base frame for a vehicle seat comprising two lateral parts and swing arms pivoting in relation to the lateral parts. The base frame can be height adjusted by pivoting the swing arms. Pivoting the swing arms can be caused by operating at least one actuator arm. The actuator arm is rotatably mounted on an anchor point on one of the swing arms so that the swing arms, upon operation of the at least one actuator arm, can be pivoted along a direction of adjustment about a pivot point and, thereby, the lateral parts of the base frame are movable in a direction of height adjustment.
