An imaging probe comprises a camera or endoscope with an external detector array, in which the probe is sized and shaped for surgical placement in an eye to image the eye from an interior of the eye during treatment. The imaging probe and a treatment probe can be coupled together with a fastener or contained within a housing. The imaging probe and the treatment probe can be sized and shaped to enter the eye through an incision in the cornea and image one or more of the ciliary body band or the scleral spur. The treatment probe may comprise a treatment optical fiber or a surgical placement device to deliver an implant. A processor coupled to the detector can be configured with instructions to identify a location of one or more of the ciliary body band, the scleral spur, Schwalbe's line, or Schlemm's canal from the image.

A fluorescence imaging system is configured to generate a video image onto a display. The system includes a light source for emitting infrared light and white light, an infrared image sensor for capturing infrared image data, and a white light image sensor for capturing white light image data. Data processing hardware performs operations that include filtering the infrared image data with a first digital finite impulse response (FIR) filter configured to produce a magnitude response of zero at a horizontal Nyquist frequency and a vertical Nyquist frequency. The operations also include filtering the infrared image data with a second digital FIR filter configured with a phase response to spatially align the white light image data with the infrared image data. The operations also include combining the white light image data and the infrared image data into combined image data and transmitting the combined image data to the display.

Vaginal speculum

An assembly of a vaginal speculum and a reusable electric device. The vaginal speculum can be introduced into the vagina. A speculum housing has at least one spoon blade with an opened and closed state near a distal end. The spoon blade is operated by an operating device that is guided by and slides in the housing. The reusable electric device comprises a housing with an aperture and including a camera module near a distal end of the housing and a wireless communication module near a proximal end of the housing. The vaginal speculum and the reusable electric device share a connection system for releasably connecting the reusable electric device to the vaginal speculum. The connection system is formed on the operating device.

Optical path deflecting prism for endoscope, oblique-viewing endoscope optical system having the same and endoscope
11805983 · 2023-11-07 · ·

An optical path deflecting prism for endoscope which is used for observing an object in an oblique direction, includes a first prism and a second prism, and the first prism and the second prism are cemented. The first prism has a first polished surface and a second polished surface. The first reflecting surface is a mirror surface having a mirror coating applied to a polished surface of a flat plate, and is fixed by gluing to the fifth polished surface of the second prism upon adjusting an angle so as to correct an optical-axis shift which occurs due to a manufacturing error of the first prism and the second prism.

A rigid-scope optical system includes: an image-formation optical system that causes an image in each of wavelength bands to be formed in a predetermined imaging device, the wavelength bands including a fluorescence wavelength band and a visible light wavelength band; and a color-separation-prism optical system having a dichroic film that separates an optical path of light to be imaged into an optical path of the visible light wavelength band and an optical path of the fluorescence wavelength band, in which the image-formation optical system causes the respective images to be formed in a fluorescence imaging device and a visible light imaging device, the fluorescence imaging device and the visible light imaging device being disposed to cause an amount of misalignment to correspond to a difference between an optical path length of fluorescence and an optical path length of visible light.

Endoscope and insertion section of endoscope having first and second resins for retaining optical member at distal end

An endoscope includes: a barrel having an opening of a through hole on an outer surface; a lens inserted into the through hole and having a distal end surface which protrudes from the outer surface; a first resin disposed between a wall surface of the through hole and a side surface of the lens; and a second resin disposed on a surface of the first resin, a portion of the barrel disposed around the opening, and an entire circumference of an outer peripheral portion of the distal end surface of the lens, the second resin forming a protruding portion which protrudes from the distal end surface of the optical member, containing light blocking particles, and having a larger fracture toughness value than the first resin.

A borescope probe for inspecting a side wall of a cavity includes a primary mirror, a main refractive optical group, a stop, and a sensor plane. The primary mirror collects light rays diffused by a surface of the side wall of the cavity according to an inlet angle (α) and reflects the light rays towards the refractive optical group. The main refractive optical group is placed between the primary mirror and the sensor plane and is suitable to receive the light rays reflected by the primary mirror and focus them on the sensor plane.
