Vehicle systems for providing access to vehicle controls, functions, environment and applications to guests/passengers via mobile devices
Systems of a vehicle for sharing vehicle controls are provided. One example system includes an on-board computer that is part of the vehicle and communications circuitry of the vehicle usable by the on-board computer. The communications circuitry is configured to make connections with a wireless network for accessing a server. The on-board computer is configured to execute instructions for enabling portable devices that enter the vehicle to make a wireless connection with the vehicle. Vehicle electronics are interfaced with one or more vehicle systems and the on-board computer. The on-board computer is configured to provide access to at least one graphical user interface viewable via the portable device using the wireless connection. The at least one graphical user interface includes input options that enable control for features of said vehicle systems of the vehicle. A location for the portable device within the vehicle is identified. The location is associated with select ones of the vehicle systems for an environment zone of the location, and vehicles systems that are not for the environment zone are not provided as input options via the graphical user interface provided for the portable device. The graphical user interface provides preferences associated with a user account when the portable device transfers credentials to the vehicle when making the wireless connection with the vehicle.
Vehicle multi-passenger phone mode
A vehicle includes one or more microphones that are each configured to selectively provide sound signals from one or more seating positions in the vehicle. A controller is programmed to receive an input indicative of a request to enter a group conversation mode upon initiation of a call, and, responsive to receiving the input, enable the microphones to selectively provide sound signals from all of the seating positions.
Integrated sensor arrangement for automated auxiliary component adjustments
A vehicle adjustment assembly including sensors for adjusting the position of an auxiliary component of the vehicle is disclosed. The sensor is connected to the vehicle and is configured to detect a user's characteristics. The sensor generates data regarding the user's characteristics, and a computer receives the data generated by the sensor related to the user's characteristics. The auxiliary system is adjusted via input signals from the computer in response to the data generated by the sensor.
Sol: A System for Child Safety Alert
The present invention is a method and system of determining and collecting data such as, location, weather, temperature, and time to users of a mobile devices. Mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets, Internet computers, and other hand held mobile devices may be ideal for tracking harmful environmental conditions. The affiliations are determined based upon location of mobile devices as tracked by Internet services and activation of the system by the user. The system may even be enhanced by use of features tailored by the user.
CHILD SEAT RESTRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A child car seat system includes a car seat having a strap with a restraining device to secure over a body of a child; a sensing system to be incorporated into the restraining device, the sensing system having a first sensor associated with a first half of the restraining device; a second sensor associated with a second half of the restraining device; a third sensor secured positioned within a body of the restraining device; a control system in electrical communication with the first, second, and third sensors; and an alarm in communication with the control system; the alarm is activated via the control system when the first sensor and the second sensor are separated from one another, such as when the restraining device is unsecure; and the third sensor is to alert the control system when the car seat is occupied.
EXTERNAL ALERT SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE DOOR OPENING
A vehicle is provided that includes a safety system that can provide an alert, external to the vehicle, that can warn other vehicles, people, etc. that a driver and/or passenger(s) are exiting the vehicle. Methods and systems determine when an occupant of a vehicle is about to exit by sensing the exit movement or an exit sequence, which may be detected by internal vehicle sensors. In response to the exit sequence, the vehicle may control one or more alert features, associated with the vehicle, to provide an external alert to other vehicles and/or users outside of the vehicle that a driver and/or passenger(s) is/are about to exit.
Vehicle seat adjustment systems
Vehicle seat adjustment systems that move more than one seat in a linked manner are disclosed. A vehicle seat adjustment system for a vehicle includes a front seat of the vehicle, one or more passenger seats behind the front seat, an input device configured to receive an input for adjusting positions of the front seat, a first actuator configured to adjust positions of the front seat, a second actuator configured to adjust positions of the one or more passenger seats, and a controller communicatively coupled to the input device and the first and second actuators. The controller instructs the first actuator to move the front seat in a longitudinal direction for a first distance in response to the received input, and instructs the second actuator to move the one or more passenger seats in the longitudinal direction for a second distance in response to the received input.
OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM AND OCCUPANT DETECTION DEVICE
An occupant detection system includes a transmitter provided adjacent to a first side face of a vehicle before a predetermined seat and successively transmitting a radio wave over a range covering a seat door located on a second side face of the vehicle and in a same row as the predetermined seat, a receiver provided adjacent to the second side face behind the predetermined seat and receiving the radio wave transmitted from the transmitter, and an occupant detection device including a reception intensity acquirer, an occupant detector, an opening and closing detector. The reception intensity acquirer successively acquires a reception intensity of a radio wave successively received by the receiver. The occupant detector detects an occupant in the vehicle according to the reception intensity of the radio wave received by the receiver while the opening and closing detector detects that the seat door is open.
Child abandonment monitor
A child car seat is provided, comprising a base; a seat coupled to the base; and a sensor device mounted to the base or the seat, the sensor device including a sensor that outputs a measurement signal indicating whether a child is present in the seat, a processor that receives the measurement signal and determines whether a child is present, and a communication circuit that transmits a proximity signal configured for reception by a first mobile device. The proximity signal causes a first alert to be communicated to the first mobile device in response to the first mobile device exceeding a range from the sensor device, and a second alert to be communicated to a second mobile device if, after a threshold amount of time, the measurement signal continues to indicate that a child is present and no response is received in response to the first alert.
System for providing a notification of a presence of an occupant in a vehicle through historical patterns and method thereof
The systems and methods disclosed herein are directed to providing a notification of a presence of an occupant in a vehicle before arriving at a destination. In an illustrative embodiment, the vehicle may include a location system for tracking routes taken or traveled by the vehicle. The vehicle may include a detection system for determining whether the occupant is in the vehicle along those routes traveled by the vehicle. The vehicle may also include a notification system. The notification system may store the routes traveled by the vehicle with and without the occupant in the vehicle. The notification system may provide a notification when a route is taken with the occupant and the route is not associated with the occupant based on the historical patterns of the routes traveled by vehicle with and without the occupant.
