Lift systems and methods for supporting cargo on a vehicle
11358508 · 2022-06-14 · ·

A lift system for supporting cargo on a vehicle comprising a vehicle frame, the lift system comprises a cargo platform assembly and a displacement system. Operation of a drive system causes axial rotation of at least one drive axle. Axial rotation of at least one drive axle causes at least one drive link assembly to pivot about a drive axle axis. Pivoting of the at least one drive link assembly about the drive axle axis displaces the cargo platform between a stowed configuration and a lowered configuration. First and second distal axes are forward of the drive axle axis when the lift system is in the stowed configuration and rearward of the drive axle axis when the lift system is in the lowered configuration.

A tailgate system, comprising: (i) a tailgate door configured to pivotally engage a rear cargo area of a body of a vehicle in between a closed position and an open position; and (ii) a bed extension pivotally engaged to the tailgate door and configured to pivot from a closed position to one or more open positions, wherein the bed extension includes a plurality of removable panels.

Automated cargo vehicle ramp deployment system and associated methods

An automated cargo vehicle ramp deployment system includes a controller and a power source connected thereto, a ramp located at the existing cargo vehicle, a first automated ramp displacement mechanism for configured to selectively displace the ramp from a first position to a second position defined along a perimeter of the existing cargo vehicle while the ramp is maintained at a vertically oriented position, a second automated ramp displacement mechanism for configured to selectively displace the ramp from one of the first position and the second position to a third position, and a third automated ramp displacement mechanism for selectively adjusting a longitudinal length of the ramp while the ramp is statically disposed at a third position.

A waste removal system with a trailer for the storage of materials such as waste or rubble, wherein said trailer has a front wall a rear wall and plurality of side walls with an extended slope on at least one of said walls to increase the volume capacity therein. The trailer may additionally contain a slanted access door or ramp which alternatively raises and lowers, allowing for ease of ingress and egress of the trailer volume. The waste removal system may additionally include a transport vehicle with a grappler mounted at a distal end of a boom, wherein said grappler grasps waste and deposits said waste into the previously-mentioned trailer for transport to and from a desired location.

Ramp device for loading and unloading vehicles

A ramp is configured to allow a vehicular machine to move from a ground surface to an elevated surface of a transport vehicle. The ramp has a length along a longitudinal direction and includes a first portion, a first web, and a second portion. The first portion includes a first rail and a second rail, each of the first and second rails being oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction. The first web is positioned on the first portion and includes a first array of raised members arranged so that a first plurality of longitudinal travel paths are defined on the first web between at least some of the raised members of the first array. The second portion is connected to the second rail at a first hinge. The second portion includes a third rail and a fourth rail.
