Safety alert system for postal and delivery vans and trucks
This is a safety alert system for delivery vans, trucks, and carriers for the postal service and delivery industry. It includes warning light devices to regulate traffic with electrically controlled luminous elements as a supplemental light display. It aims to provide the postal vehicle a manner disposed to safely transport and deliver mail. High illumination lights, safety strips and text or visual messaging boards are located on the rear of the postal vans. Strobe action of the lights is an alternative. The device includes (a) a pair of Light Emitting Diode (LED) high illumination light blocks with optional strobe functions; (b) an elongated Light Emitting Diode (LED) high illumination light bar; (c) a high illumination reflective safety tape; and (d) display module having a display (Video and Audio); (e) an audio systems and amplifiers; and (f) remote Controllers for the screen display and video alerts.
PAINTED ELECTROLUMINESCENT VEHICLE TRIM COMPONENTS
A painted vehicle trim component such as a spoiler, side-view mirror housing, or other vehicle body part is provided with electroluminescent paint to emit light from its surface. The trim component includes a substrate having a mounting surface for attaching to the vehicle. A conductor body is at least partially embedded in the substrate to provide a conductive surface exposed externally of the substrate. A conductive wire is crimped to the conductor body and is adapted to connect to an electrical power source remotely from the vehicle trim component. A conductive bus bar paint layer is deposited over the substrate and onto the exposed conductive surface of the conductor body. A light-emitting paint layer deposited over the substrate is disposed relative to the conductive paint layer such that light is emitted when an electrical signal is received at the conductive wire.
CONSPICUITY DEVICES AND METHODS
The disclosure provides conspicuity devices and methods. A first embodiment includes a glove with at least one elongate lighting device adapted and configured to admit light having an advantageous spectral energy distribution. Additional articles of clothing are provided herein for enhanced conspicuity, such as for emergency workers and athletes.
LAMINATED GLAZING WITH AN ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLABLE DEVICE AND MANUFACTURE
A laminated glazing incorporates an electrically controllable device and the manufacture thereof including an operation of preassembly with a thin plastic strip.
EXTERNAL LUMINOUS SIGNALING VEHICLE GLAZING, VEHICLE INCORPORATING SAME AND MANUFACTURE
An exterior light signaling vehicle glazing selected from a rear window and a side window or a windshield, includes a first glazing which forms an outer glazing and has first and second main faces; a superficially light emitting element such as an OLED or QLED; a holographic redirecting optical system or collimating optical system with one or more optical films followed by a redirecting optical system with one or more optical films.
FOOT STEP FOR VEHICLE AND VEHICLE
The present disclosure provides a foot step for a vehicle and a vehicle. The foot step includes: a step body and a light unit. The light unit is disposed on the step body and at least includes a warning light group. The warning light group is configured to emit light to warn traffic participants nearby of a width and an expected driving route of the vehicle.
LIGHTING ASSEMBLY
A lighting assembly for a vehicle includes a polymeric layer and a first conductive layer coupled to the polymeric layer. A first metallic foil defined a plurality of first foil apertures. A semiconductor layer includes a plurality of perovskites. A second conductive layer is coupled to the semiconductor layer. A second metallic foil defines a plurality of second foil apertures. The lighting assembly includes transparent overmold, extending through the plurality of first foil apertures, the first and second conductive layers, the semiconductor layer, and the plurality of second foil apertures to contact the polymeric layer.
AUTONOMOUS DELIVERY VEHICLE WITH EXTERIOR SCANNING SYSTEM
A vehicle includes a storage compartment configured to house a package for delivery and a side-mirror assembly. The side-mirror assembly includes an imager and a puddle light aimed to illuminate an area in a field of view of the imager. A vehicle controller is programmed to receive data representing a code associated with the delivery, energize the puddle lamp to illuminate the area, and unlock the storage compartment responsive to the imager detecting an image encoding data matching the code.
AUXILIARY LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN INDICATOR OF BRAKE MAGNITUDE ON A VEHICLE
Instead of binary brake lights on a car, the present disclosure provides methods and apparatus to provide an indicator of deceleration magnitude of a car, as caused by coasting or engine braking. An accelerometer or other means of approximating the magnitude of a braking force is coupled to a control module, which itself is coupled to auxiliary lights mounted on the car. These auxiliary lights are capable of displaying a pulse, color, or a pattern correlated to the magnitude of the deceleration force. This gives drivers behind the car an indication of how quickly to respond to a decelerating car.
Impact-induced lighting to mitigate post-accident risk
The present disclosure relates generally to safety lighting devices for automotive vehicles. A safety lighting system coupled to an automotive vehicle includes a power source that is independent of an electrical system of the vehicle. The system also includes a lighting feature electrically coupled to the power source, wherein the lighting feature is configured to activate in response to an impact event.
