A vehicle headlight includes a housing unit, a low beam unit, a high beam unit and a control module. The low beam unit is mounted to the housing unit and is controllable to produce a low beam. The high beam unit is mounted to the housing unit and is controllable to produce a high beam. The control module is communicatively connected between the low beam unit and the high beam unit, and is operable to switch between a high beam mode, in which the high beam unit is controlled to produce the high beam with a first level brightness, and a daytime running mode, in which the high beam unit is controlled to produce the high beam with a second level brightness that is weaker than the first level brightness.

A vehicular lighting apparatus which is relatively small, low cost, superior in mountability to an automobile, and superior in recognizeability of an object illuminated by a head lamp. The apparatus includes: a composite lens element that is a light guide element constructed by molding a translucent resin substantially into a plate-like shape; a planar light-emitting unit that emits light; an optical system that transforms planar light from the light-emitting unit into linear light and that causes the linear transformed light to be incident on a rear side face of the light guide element; and a diffraction lens formed on the rear side face of the light guide element on which the linear transformed light is incident, and condensing the linear transformed light. The light condensed by the lens means is emitted from a front side face of the light guide element onto a road surface in front of the vehicle.

A single channel-based multi-functional light emitting diode lamp driving system includes: first and second light source groups distinguished for each lamp function thereof; a single LED lamp driving module adjusting an input voltage to a voltage required for each lamp function and to apply it to the first and second light source groups; a switching module controlling on or off of the first and second light source groups; and a control module controlling light amounts of the first and second light source groups by performing time-division control on an on or off time of the switching module in conjunction with the LED lamp driving module, wherein the control module is configured to perform time division turn-on control on the first and second light source groups by controlling at least one of a current value applied to the first and second light source groups or a duty ratio thereof in a high-beam passing mode.

LAMP FOR VEHICLE
A lamp for a vehicle includes a lamp unit including a plurality of light emitting areas arranged in a direction; a mode determination unit configured to determine a selected light emitting mode among a plurality of light emitting modes of the lamp unit; and a control unit configured to cause at least one of the plurality of light emitting areas to generate light having a first color or a second color based on the determined light emitting mode. In particular, the plurality of light emitting modes comprises: a first light emitting mode in which the light of the first color is generated from the plurality of light emitting areas; and a second light emitting mode in which the light generated from each of the plurality of light emitting areas is changed from the first color to the second color sequentially.
ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS
A system for adaptive lights for use in a vehicle includes a headlight configured to generate light to be at least partially directed away from the vehicle to illuminate a portion of an environment of the vehicle. The system further includes a sensor configured to detect data corresponding to an environmental condition in the environment of the vehicle. The system further includes an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the headlight and the sensor and configured to determine the environmental condition based on the detected data and to adjust an intensity and an orientation of the light generated by the headlight based on the environmental condition.

A remotely controllable headlight assembly for use on a vehicle, the assembly comprising a circuit board including a plurality of LEDs including at least a first low beam LED, a first high beam LED and at least one additional LED, optic elements supported adjacent the LEDs on the circuit board, a processor and a remote communication module coupled to the processor, the remote communication module configured to receive commands from a wireless device, wherein the commands instruct the processor to illuminate the at least one additional LED, wherein the processor controls the at least one additional LED based on the received wireless commands.
