Exterior rearview mirror assembly
An exterior rearview mirror assembly suitable for a vehicle includes an attachment portion and a casing portion having a variable reflectance mirror reflective element. A mirror reflector is disposed at at least a portion of a surface of a rear substrate of the reflective element. The mirror reflector includes a stack of thin films having at least a first metal thin film and a second metal thin film. The first metal thin film is formed of a metal material that has a specific resistivity of less than about 110.sup.3 ohm.Math.cm and the second metal thin film is formed of a metal material that has a specific resistivity of less than about 110.sup.3 ohm.Math.cm. No part of the rear substrate extends beyond any part of a front substrate of the reflective element. An indicator is disposed rearward of the reflective element and, when actuated, illuminates through the reflective element.
MOTOR VEHICLE ROOF RAIL WITH INTEGRATED LIGHT SYSTEM
A roof rail is disposed on a motor vehicle and furnished with an integrated light system. The light system has at least one light source and one or more batteries that are part of the system arranged in or on a cover of the roof rail. The battery powered light system enables the light system to be operated independently of any connection to the onboard power supply of the motor vehicle, and it is then no longer necessary to provide an electrical connection between the light system and the onboard power supply or the motor vehicle electronics. A computer program, when executed on a light system controller, is configured to detect a position of a vehicle door and switch the at least one light source of the light system on and off.
Image projector
A vehicle comprises an image projector assembled to an underbody of the vehicle. The image projector has a bracket, a housing and an image emitter. The bracket is fixed to the underbody. The bracket has a plurality of first indentations. The housing has a plurality of second indentations that mate with the first indentations. The housing is adjustably disposed with respect to the bracket along the first and second indentations. The image emitter is provided in the housing and at least partially extends from the housing. The angle between the image emitter and the bracket changes as the housing is adjusted with respect to the bracket.
Vehicle exterior rearview mirror system with light module
A vehicular lighted exterior rearview mirror system includes a lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly for mounting at a side of a vehicle. A light module is disposed at the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly. The light module includes at least three illumination sources linearly arranged at a circuit board. When the at least three illumination sources are individually actuated, light emitted by each individual illumination source is emitted outboard away from the side of the vehicle. When the at least three illumination sources are actuated responsive to a first input, the light module emits light in a first pattern. With the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly mounted at the side of the vehicle, and when the at least three illumination sources are actuated responsive to a second input, the light module emits light in a second pattern that is different from the first pattern.
Lighting system for a refuse vehicle
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a vehicle body supported by the chassis, a lift assembly, and a projector. The vehicle body defines a receptacle for storing refuse. The lift assembly is configured to selectively engage a waste container. The lift assembly is movable between a first position and a second position. The projector is positioned to emit light outwardly away from the refuse vehicle and proximate the lift assembly to define a target area.
Method for operating a lighting device of a motor vehicle, lighting device and motor vehicle
The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a lighting device for a motor vehicle, wherein the lighting device has at least an exterior lamp and a control device. The exterior lamp has an illuminating area having at least two independently controllable segments each comprising at least one light source, wherein, in at least one dynamic operating mode of the control device, for at least one dynamic group of the segments comprising at least two segments a pseudo-randomized or randomized, temporally variable lighting operation of the segments of the dynamic group takes place.
Lighting apparatus for vehicle and control method of the same
A lighting apparatus for a vehicle may include: a first body mounted on a vehicle body, a second body rotatably installed in the first body, a driving unit configured to rotate the second body, a lighting unit rotated along with the second body and configured to radiate a lighting signal to an outside of the vehicle, a speaker unit rotated along with the second body and configured to output an acoustic signal to the outside of the vehicle.
Lamp for vehicle and method therefor
A lamp for a vehicle and a method therefor are provided. The lamp includes optical systems to form a beam pattern by irradiating light onto a road surface, and an assembly unit to assemble and integrate the optical systems. Each of the optical systems includes: a light source part to generate light; a condensing lens part provided on a front side of the light source part to condense and output the light input from the light source part; a shield part formed to shield a portion of the light input from the condensing lens part; and an output lens part to output the light passing the shield part to the road surface. The beam pattern includes unit pattern areas formed by the optical systems, respectively, and orientation angle of light output from each of the optical systems on to the road surface is different from one another.
Apparatus with light fixture
An apparatus can include a light fixture. The light fixture can be disposed between a first light of a vehicle and a second light of the vehicle. The light fixture can include a first segment having a first light source and a second segment having a second light source. The first segment can produce light with a first pattern via the first light source. The second segment can produce light with a second pattern via the second light source. The first pattern and the second pattern can indicate a vehicle status of the vehicle.
UWB antenna integrated lamp assembly without EMI noise
A method includes energizing a light source of a vehicular lamp assembly according to a duty cycle. The light source emits light responsive to being energized. While energizing the light source, and during an off-cycle of the duty cycle, the method includes transmitting an outgoing short-range wireless communication to a user device. The outgoing short-range wireless communication is transmitted from an antenna at the vehicular lamp assembly. During the off-cycle of the duty cycle, the method includes receiving an incoming short-range wireless communication at the antenna at the vehicular lamp assembly. The incoming short-range wireless communication is transmitted from the user device responsive to the outgoing short-range wireless communication.
