VEHICLE WARNING LIGHT SYSTEM
20170349093 · 2017-12-07 ·

The present disclosure pertains to a vehicle warning light system for a vehicle having factory or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) lights. The system provides for inputs and outputs corresponding to the factory lights of the vehicle. The flasher system is configured such that the flasher system operates independently of the vehicle wherein that factory lights are independently controlled by the factory controls.

MANAGING RECREATIONAL VEHICLES AND ACCESSORIES

A vehicle is electrically connected to one or more accessories. The vehicle includes at least one controller that may be configured to identify the accessory based on accessory identification information. The controller may also be configured to provide one or more commands to control an operation of the accessory.

Lighting Control System

A lighting control system of the type including an electronic device with a processor, memory, wireless communication capability and a user interface may be used. A controller may be used with a receiver to receive wireless communication from the electronic device and an output terminal with at least one lighting array in electrical communication with the output terminal of the controller. A power supply may be provided in electrical communication with the controller thereby providing electrical power to the controller and the lighting array. Software on the electrical device may be used providing a graphical interface with a user to actuate the controller to provide an electrical output to the lighting array. The combination may be placed on a building, vehicle or any object to allow a plurality of lighting themes and palettes. Music may also be used to control the lighting output as well as speed or acceleration.

SIGNALLING SYSTEM

A vehicle light assembly includes auxiliary lighting. The auxiliary light includes a base that may comprise a circuit board and a heat sink material. A series of auxiliary lights, such as LEDs, are attached to the base. A fastener extends through a mounting hole in the base to attach the base to the vehicle lighting shroud or trim. The auxiliary lights may be in an annular array, typically called a halo, or in numerous other linear or geometric shapes.

Universal smart adaptor

A method and apparatus for a lighting assembly for a vehicle can include a housing assembly and a set of adaptors. Vehicles today are often limited to specific wiring harnesses or connection types based upon manufacturer. Each adaptor of the set of adaptors can include a different connection type. The adaptors are interchangeably connectable to the housing assembly in order to vary the connection type based upon the specific wiring harness or connection type of the particular vehicle.

Vehicular, adaptive brake light to custom light sequencing system

A vehicular, adaptive brake light to custom light sequencing system generally includes an OEM vehicular brake light circuit electrically connected to OEM brake lights of a vehicle, and an aftermarket flashing circuit electrically connected within or to the OEM vehicular brake light circuit to cause the OEM brake lights to flash. They system further includes an aftermarket directional indicator circuit electrically connected within or to the OEM vehicular brake light circuit and electrically connected to the aftermarket flashing circuit to effectuate a flashing of at least one of an OEM left brake light and an OEM right brake light. The system also includes an aftermarket hazard light circuit that is electrically connected within or to the OEM brake light circuit and to the aftermarket flashing circuit to effectuate a flashing hazard by the OEM brake lights.

Retrofittable modular school bus safety apparatus

A retrofittable modular school bus safety apparatus comprising a CPU, a plurality of sensors and scanners, an electrical plug device, and an output device. The electrical plug device is preferably adapted to plug into an auxiliary power port, a USB port or an OBD port to provide electrical power to the apparatus and to provide actuatable communication to school bus devices such as lights, horns, crossing arm, etc. The sensors include machine vision sensors, proximity detection sensors, and speed detection sensors. The apparatus is adapted to “read” a vehicle's license plate via ALPR, perform facial recognition, automatically monitor and warn/alert traffic proximate the school bus, to automatically respond with an appropriate level of response depending on an observed level of a moving violation, and to automatically wirelessly obtain the traffic laws/regulations applicable to location of the school bus and to operate accordingly.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VEHICULAR LIGHT FIXTURES

A terrain viewing apparatus is provided to enable greater viewability of environmental conditions around a vehicle. A housing of the terrain viewing apparatus may include a lighting apparatus for emitting light and illuminating environmental conditions during nighttime, dusk, or adverse weather conditions. The housing may further include a reflecting apparatus to increase an operator's ability to view environmental conditions outside the vehicle. One or more joints may enable the housing to be adjustable with respect to the vehicle. An internal joint may enable the reflecting apparatus to be adjustable with respect to the housing. The lighting apparatus may receive power from the vehicle. The lighting and reflecting apparatuses may be electrically coupled to the vehicle and may be controllable therefrom.
