REAR TRUNK BUTTON LOCALIZATION FOR END USER
20170305333 · 2017-10-26 ·

A system for identifying a location of an external vehicle feature on approach by a user of the vehicle is disclosed, comprising (1) a vehicle including a steering system, a drive system, a brake system, a processor, and memory; (2) a control module coupled to the processor and configured to receive a wireless communication from a mobile device indicative of a user's proximity to the vehicle; and (3) a brake module coupled to the control module and configured to illuminate a lighting device on receipt of the wireless communication to identify a location of the vehicle feature.

VEHICLE ROOF RACK SYSTEM

A vehicle is provided that includes a body defining a roof. A roof rack is operably coupled to the roof through a plurality of mounting features and configured to support cargo. A load cell is positioned on each of the mounting features and configured to sense a load on the roof rack associated with the cargo. A controller is in communication with the load cells and an electronic device and a light source is positioned proximate each of the mounting features. The light source is configured to emit light based on the load sensed by the load cell.

Headlight directional control for illuminating an identified object

Provided is a method and device to selectively illuminate off-road objects in low-light environments using directionally-adjustable vehicle headlamps. An object may be identified by a vehicle user and/or autonomous vehicle sensors. When the identified object is within an illumination range capability of a vehicle headlamp, a frontlighting control unit operates to determine vector data for the identified object, taking into account vehicle motion. With the vector data, a headlight pattern of the vehicle headlamp may be adjusted to align with the vector data to illuminate the identified object.

The present invention provides a signal gear for cyclist to give brake and turn signals to other road users while the cyclist has full control of the handle bar and brake. The signal gear of the present invention is preferably a glove with finger portions. Control and activation of the turn and/or brake signals is mainly by using electrical conductive nature of the signal glove as a switch of the signaling component which is either incorporated with the glove or with the vehicle (e.g. bicycle). The signaling component can emit turn/brake light signal or transmit an activation signal to a light emitting device to give turn/brake light signal. The turn and brake light signals are in yellow and red color, respectively.

VEHICLE ILLUMINATION SYSTEM

An illumination system for a vehicle is provided that includes a vehicle having a rear spoiler, a light assembly located on an underside of the spoiler, a sensor for sensing a location of a person proximate to the spoiler, and a controller for controlling the light assembly to illuminate an area proximate the rear of the vehicle when a person is detected proximate to the spoiler.

Classic Car Alert System
20170249843 · 2017-08-31 ·

An alert system for a classic car is described. It is well known that classic cars lack the majority of safety features offered on modern vehicles. In addition, driver/owners of classic cars operate them in an environment far different from that which they were created to operate. Therefore, the addition of safety features provides a substantial benefit to driver/owners of classic cars. A classic car alert system is a radio frequency device which sends a signal to a receiving unit mounted to a classic car, providing a third brake light, turn signals and an audible alarm between vehicles. This provides vintage cars with safety features without modifying the vehicle in a way that detracts from its value, appearance, or requires a major rewire of the car systems.
