Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatus, and computer readable medium for securing an object including the steps of determining, dynamically, a first region on a surface, wherein the first region is at least partially covered by the object, identifying a second region different from the first region, and extending, through the surface, one or more securing devices in the second region to secure the object.

A modular vehicle system configured to improve storage of a vehicle including one or more rear doors, including at least one modular column configured to provide a vertical surface for mounting various attachments thereto, the at least one column including a first component and a second component, wherein the first component and the second component are slidable relative to one another to span a distance between a floor of the vehicle and a ceiling of the vehicle inside of the one or more rear doors.

An enclosure system for vehicles may include a body with mounting points for mounting the body in a passenger compartment of a vehicle and adapted to fit under a bench seat in the vehicle. The body may include multiple walls coupled together and may couple with one or more doors. For example, the one or more doors may couple with the body with one or more hinges and may close over a top of the body to form one or more cavities in which items may be stored. The enclosure system may also include one or more locking mechanisms for coupling the doors in a closed position and securing the cavities and items within the cavities.
