Blind assembly fastener system
Disclosed are systems and methods for coupling a first panel to a second panel via a fastening system. The fastening system comprises fastener and a doghouse structure. The fastener includes a head assembly coupled to a collar. The collar is configured to pass through and to retain the second panel via an opening formed in the second panel. The doghouse structure defines a chamber that is configured to receive and secure the head assembly. The doghouse structure is positioned on the first panel and is configured to pass at least partially through the opening.
VIBRATING PANEL ASSEMBLY FOR RADIATING SOUND INTO A PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF A VEHICLE
A vibrating panel assembly configured to radiate sound into a passenger compartment of a vehicle having a support structure is provided. The assembly includes a substrate panel having front and back surfaces. The panel includes an inner portion, an outer boundary portion formed on the perimeter of the panel and an intermediate portion between the inner portion and the outer boundary portion. The vibrating panel has a frequency distribution of modes in a range of audible frequencies. The panel is configured to be attached to the support structure. An electroacoustic vibrator is mounted on the inner portion at the back surface at a predetermined location and is configured to vibrate the panel over the range of audible frequencies in response to an electrical signal. The intermediate portion is configured to increase modal density of the panel.
Vehicle headliner and production method thereof
The vehicle headliner includes a base layer, a skin layer disposed on one side of the base layer, and an infrared reflecting layer and a protection layer, in this order, disposed on the other side of the base layer. The base layer contains thermoplastic resin and fiber. The protection layer is a non-stretched resin layer containing a thermoplastic resin having a melting point of 200° C. or more.
Trim element for a pillar of a motor vehicle
A trim element for a pillar of a body of a motor vehicle is described, in particular for an A pillar, having a main body; an outer side of the main body, which faces toward a vehicle interior in an installed state of the trim element on the pillar, an inner side of the main body, which faces toward the body in an installed state of the trim element on the pillar, a textile element covering the outer side having multiple edge sections folded over onto the inner side, and a bending section, which is formed in the main body, extending essentially along the longitudinal direction of the trim element; and a pivoting section of the main body extending along the bending section.
Vehicle interior structure
An impact absorbing member is disposed between a roof panel and a top ceiling disposed below the roof panel. The impact absorbing member includes a base plate portion and a hollow, cone-shaped portion extending upward from the base plate portion. The cone-shaped portion has a fragile portion that facilitates vertical crush and deformation.
Automobile interior trim
An automobile interior trim includes: a resin core member formed to have a predetermined shape; a surface member bonded to a front surface of the resin core member; a plurality of reinforcement ribs provided at a back surface of the resin core member in a width direction of the resin core member; and a recess formed at an upper end surface of each of the reinforcement ribs as means for setting a terminal part of the resin core member as a base point of rupture so that, when a side airbag deploys on the back surface side of the resin core member, the terminal part of the resin core member ruptures by force of the deployment. A slit is formed at the terminal part of the surface member adjacent to the base point of the rupture of the resin core member.
METALLIC DECORATION FILM, METALLIC INTERIOR/EXTERIOR MEMBER FOR VEHICLE, AND METALLIC MOLDED BODY
Provided is a metallic decoration film, having a protective layer, an anchor layer, a metal deposition layer, and a bonding layer. The metal deposition layer comprises indium, the protective layer comprises a first mixed resin layer and a second mixed resin layer, the second mixed resin layer is provided on the anchor layer side, the first mixed resin layer comprises a vinylidene fluoride-based resin and an acrylic acid ester-based resin, the second mixed resin layer comprises a vinylidene fluoride-based resin and an acrylic acid ester-based resin, a solid content concentration ratio (% by mass) of the vinylidene fluoride-based resin to the acrylic acid ester-based resin in the first mixed resin layer is 75:25 to 60:40, and a solid content concentration ratio (% by mass) of the vinylidene fluoride-based resin to the acrylic acid ester-based resin in the second mixed resin layer is 15:85 to 60:40.
