FRONT STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
The front structure of a vehicle includes a drain, provided below a cowl grille, that forms a closed cross-section in cooperation with the cowl grille, in which the drain has flow path portions that extend in the vehicle width direction and serve as paths through which water flows, the flow path portion has air speed reduction portions that reduce the flow speed of air flowing through the flow path portion in the region ranging from the position that overlaps with an outside air introduction hole of the cowl grille in the vehicle width direction to an air inlet of a dash panel.
TRUCKS INCLUDING EXTERNALLY MOUNTED COMBINATION ABSORBER AND SEAL MEMBER
A pickup truck includes a passenger cabin including a rear wall. A truck bed includes a front wall that faces the rear wall of the passenger cabin. A space is provided between the rear wall of the passenger cabin and the front wall of the truck bed. A combination absorber and seal member is mounted to the rear wall of the passenger cabin. The combination absorber and seal member includes an extended portion having an elongated dimension extending at an oblique angle to a vehicle lateral direction. The combination absorber and seal member is formed from a sound absorbing material and extends outward from the rear wall of the passenger cabin in a vehicle longitudinal direction toward the front wall of the truck bed providing a clearance of no more than about 15 mm between the extended portion and the front wall of the truck bed.
A-pillar surface of a vehicle
An A-pillar surface of a vehicle, the A-pillar surface includes a cover disposed over an A-pillar such that the cover at least partially forms an exterior surface of the vehicle and defines an airflow path along the exterior surface of the vehicle at a location that is interposed between and separates a windshield and a side window of the vehicle, where the airflow path flows along the windshield toward the side window, over the cover. The cover forms a gutter surface disposed along the windshield and recessed from the airflow path into the exterior surface of the vehicle such that the gutter surface is configured to separate the airflow path from the exterior surface of the vehicle and collect liquid traveling with the airflow path from the windshield to the side window. The cover forms a flow re-attachment surface disposed along the side window to partially define the airflow path.
SUPPORT DEVICE FOR A WATER TAP
A carrier apparatus (mount) for fastening a water-collecting strip to an A-pillar of a motor vehicle includes a fastening wall having a fastening side and a receiving side, wherein at least one catching device is arranged on the fastening side of the fastening wall for connecting with the A-pillar, which catching device extends in an approximately orthogonal direction from the fastening side, and wherein the catching device is formed for insertion and rearward catching in a through-opening of the A-pillar, and a catching element device arranged opposite the receiving side having at least one catching element for releasably fixing a water-collecting strip in a receiving region, wherein the receiving region is formed between the receiving side of the fastening wall and the catching element.

RETRACTABLE GUTTER SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a body including an A-pillar, and a windshield having an exterior surface and a lateral edge secured to the A-pillar. The A-pillar has a first part and a second part. The first part is positioned on the second part along the lateral edge of the windshield. The first part is movable relative to the second part from a stowed position wherein an outer surface of the first part is flush with an outer surface of the second part, and a deployed position wherein the outer surface of the first part is positioned entirely outward from the outer surface of the second part. The first part includes a movable member that in the deployed position of the first part is shaped to collect water flowing across the exterior surface of the windshield.
