Structure of Underrun Protection
A structure of an underrun protection bound to a plurality of brackets disposed at the front or rear portion of a frame of a vehicle is disclosed. A distal panel being disposed on a distal side of a longitudinal direction of the vehicle is bound to a proximal panel being disposed on a proximal side of the longitudinal direction at engaged overlapping parts each at which an edge of a flange of the distal panel is in contact with an edge of a flange of the proximal panel. A reinforcing panel is disposed at a binder part in a hollow, the underrun protection bound to the plurality of brackets at a plurality of the binder parts such that the reinforcing panel is in contact with the inner face of one of the proximal panel and the distal panel and is in contact with the engaged overlapping part.
RETRACTABLE UNDER-GUARD FOR VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT
A retractable under-guard, for example for dual-purpose trucks that travel on-road and off-road, provides impact protection to other vehicles colliding with the truck, but is raised for off-road travel to avoid obstacles. The under-guard connects by a frame wrap to horizontal frame beam(s) of many different trucks and does not hang down in its retracted position to an extent that it interferes with off-road travel. For entering the road, the guard frame pivots downward to the desired position at or near the outer perimeter of the truck, and typically about half way between the truck frame and the ground in the space into which a lower vehicle would enter in a collision. Hook and pin systems, and/or impact plates, maintain the under-guard in proper position upon an impact. The under-guard system may automatically deploy above a predetermined truck speed, to ensure deployment when the truck re-enters the roads.

Side underride guard
A side underride guard for attachment to the underside of a trailer comprising two guard rails longitudinally positioned below the outer sides of the trailer, with each guard rail attached to the trailer by a plurality of vertical support members and with the two guard rails attached to each other and the trailer by a plurality of diagonal support members. The side underride guard further supports and incorporates an aero skirt for reducing trailer drag.
Fairing Assembly for a Commercial Vehicle
A fairing assembly for a commercial vehicle is disclosed. The fairing assembly includes a fairing and a mounting system for mounting the fairing on a frame of the commercial vehicle. The mounting system includes a first mounting bracket assembly mounted on the fairing and a second mounting bracket assembly configured to be mounted on the frame. The mounting system is configured to hold the fairing in a covering position for laterally covering at least a major portion of a wheel of the commercial vehicle and allow the fairing and the first mounting bracket assembly to pivot from the covering position into an intermediate position and translationally move along the second mounting bracket assembly in a transverse direction of the commercial vehicle from the intermediate position into a stowed position in which the fairing rests on the second mounting bracket assembly via the first mounting bracket assembly.
Vehicle body component
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a vehicle body component such that problems relating to conventionally proposed technology can be solved, thereby preventing increases in the number of components or manufacturing steps for reinforcement, for example. A bumper reinforce (10) includes a first component (11) and a second component (21) that are formed from channel steel with approximately U-shaped lateral cross section, and is configured by connecting the ends of the components (11, 21). Connecting portions (13, 23) of the first component (11) and the second component (21) respectively have slits (31, 41) along a direction in which the components (11, 21) are arranged. The components (11, 21) are connected with the components (11, 21) overlapping each other in a staggered manner on both upper and lower sides across the slits (31, 41).
Angled Clamp Assembly for Mounting Panels to I-Beams
A clamp assembly is provided for securing a panel or fairing to an I-beam, and comprises a pair of side blocks and a clamping block having a central body and a flat surface at at least one end of the central body. The side blocks and the clamping block are secured together using a single bolt. The flat surface at the end of the central body is positioned at an angle to the central body, so as to provide an angled surface for mounting of a fairing.
SIDE PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE, RELATED KIT AND VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH THE SAME
The invention relates to a side protection device to prevents road users and/or pedestrians to slip, move and/or enter under a vehicle. The device comprises a first member adapted to be secured, under a lateral side of the vehicle; a second member adapted to be secured, under a same lateral side of the vehicle; at least one flexible, elongated member having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end; at least one connecting means for securing the first end of the at least one flexible, elongated member to the first member or the second member; and at least one connecting/tensioning means for securing and tensioning the at least one flexible, elongated member between the first member and the second member. The invention also relates to a vehicle provided with the above device and a kit comprising at least one of the above device.
Front under-run protection device for medium duty truck
A front under-run protection assembly for a medium duty truck. The front under-run protection assembly includes a front bar assembly and a support assembly. The support assembly includes a beam and attachment plates. The front bar assembly has a bar positioned under the bumper of the truck and shaped to match the bumper shape. The front bar assembly includes a plurality of strengthening gussets attached to a back side of the bar. The bar assembly is attached to the support assembly which is in turn attached to the frame of the truck.
