Seat belt structure for a vehicle
A seat belt structure for a center seat of a vehicle is disclosed. The seat belt structure includes a safety belt webbing mounted to a first side of the seat portion and extending to a first end of the back portion and a buckle mounted to a second side of the seat portion. A tongue is movably connected to the safety belt webbing and is adapted to couple with the buckle to restraint an occupant of the central seat. The seat belt structure also includes a grab structure adapted to be held by the occupant. The safety belt webbing defines a lap belt portion adapted to traverse a lap of the occupant, and a shoulder belt portion adapted to extend diagonally across an upper torso of the occupant, when the tongue is engaged with the buckle. The grab structure is engaged with the lap belt portion.

Tactical-gear-accommodating seatbelt system and method
A tactical-gear-accommodating seatbelt system and method adapted to provide enhanced safety and easier, more reliable means of engaging and disengaging the seatbelt for persons wearing tactical gear on the waist and chest, by providing an extender unit having an extender strap coupled with and extending from the standard seat-level receptacle or anchored in lieu of the standard seat-level receptacle, and a continuous two-way quarter-turn sure-release receptacle attached to the free end of the extender strap such that the double receptacle sits generally in front of the lower torso in use, and having receptacle fittings to accommodate separate lap and shoulder straps anchored at lower and upper anchor points, respectively, with free ends terminated in buckle tabs, thereby allowing easier and safer engagement and disengagement of the seatbelt system for a person wearing tactical gear.

ADAPTABLE VEHICLE SEAT BELT FOR A WHEELCHAIR
Provided in this disclosure is an adaptable vehicle seat belt for wheelchair that can be selectively modified to provide a pin connector mode and alternatively a three-point connector mode that provides safe restraint to non-compliant wheelchairs. The present adaptable wheelchair vehicle seat belt includes a height adjuster belt and a retractor belt that terminates with a female buckle. The height adjuster belt and the retractor belt both slideably engage a dual slot tongue. A pin connector tongue is adapted to freely slide along the retractor belt between the female buckle and the dual slot tongue. The pin connector tongue is adapted to selectively engage an extension belt, used in the three-point connector mode, or a pin connector mounted to the wheelchair in a pin connector mode. In the latter aspect, the dual slot tongue securely connects with the female buckle.
