Among other things, techniques are described for a passenger support system. In an example, a reported number of passengers associated with on-demand mobility transportation services is obtained in response to passengers opting-in to a passenger support system. The reported number of passengers is compared with a vehicle detected number of passengers. In response to the reported number of passengers being unequal to the vehicle detected number of passengers, a remote customer assistant is enabled.
Rear Door Warning System
A vehicle includes a rear door, at least one sensor component proximate to the rear door, an alert system, a memory in which program instructions are stored, and a processor operably connected to the alert system, the at least one sensor component, and the memory. The processor executes the program instructions to detect an object within a detection zone of the at least one sensor component relative to the rear door. The processor further activates the alert system in response to the object being within a predefined protection zone of the detection zone when the rear door is not moving.
Rear Door Warning System
A vehicle includes a rear door, at least one sensor component proximate to the rear door, an alert system, a memory in which program instructions are stored, and a processor operably connected to the alert system, the at least one sensor component, and the memory. The processor executes the program instructions to detect an object within a detection zone of the at least one sensor component relative to the rear door. The processor further activates the alert system in response to the object being within a predefined protection zone of the detection zone when the rear door is not moving.

Devices, methods, and a computer program for releasing transportation vehicle components and a vehicle-to-vehicle communication module. The device for releasing a vehicle component of a transportation vehicle includes at least one interface for communication with further vehicle components of the transportation vehicle and a control module for controlling the at least one interface to receive messages from the further vehicle components of the transportation vehicle and to verify the identity of the further vehicle components based on the received messages and the stored identification data of the further vehicle components. The messages on which the verification of the identity of the further vehicle components is based are messages used in regular operation of the vehicle component. The control module also releases the vehicle component in response to the identity of the further transportation vehicle components being consistent with the stored identification data of the further vehicle components.

The device for releasing a vehicle component of a transportation vehicle includes at least one interface for communication with further vehicle components of the transportation vehicle and a control module for controlling the at least one interface to receive messages from the further vehicle components of the transportation vehicle and to verify the identity of the further vehicle components based on the received messages and the stored identification data of the further vehicle components. The messages on which the verification of the identity of the further vehicle components is based are messages used in regular operation of the vehicle component. The control module also releases the vehicle component in response to the identity of the further transportation vehicle components being consistent with the stored identification data of the further vehicle components.

A control system for a construction machine includes a tilt sensor for detecting an inclination angle of the construction machine parked on a slope, a door latch device including a lock/unlock actuator configured to lock/unlock a door of the construction machine according to a door lock control signal and a door unlock control signal and a release actuator configured to release the door according to a door release control signal, and a smart key module configured to output the door unlock control signal and the door release control signal when the inclination angle of the construction machine is within a preset safe range in case that an unlocking event signal is detected while a smart key is recognized.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTE INTERFACE WITH VEHICLE
Systems and methods are provided for remotely controlling a vehicle. A command for controlling the vehicle may be received via a user interface of the device, a command for controlling the vehicle and a determination of whether a first two-way wireless connection is available between the device and the vehicle is made. In response to determining that the two-way wireless connection is available, the command is transmitted to the vehicle via the first two-way wireless connection. In response to determining that the first two-way wireless connection is not available, the command is transmitted to a remote server associated with the vehicle via a second two-way connection. In response to receiving a request to display the status information of the vehicle, the most recent status information received via the first two-way wireless connection or retrieved from a memory is displayed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTE INTERFACE WITH VEHICLE
Systems and methods are provided for remotely controlling a vehicle. A command for controlling the vehicle may be received via a user interface of the device, a command for controlling the vehicle and a determination of whether a first two-way wireless connection is available between the device and the vehicle is made. In response to determining that the two-way wireless connection is available, the command is transmitted to the vehicle via the first two-way wireless connection. In response to determining that the first two-way wireless connection is not available, the command is transmitted to a remote server associated with the vehicle via a second two-way connection. In response to receiving a request to display the status information of the vehicle, the most recent status information received via the first two-way wireless connection or retrieved from a memory is displayed.
VEHICLE HAVING POWERED DOOR CONTROL
A vehicle having powered door access is provided including a powered door having an actuator for moving the door between closed and open positions, at least one sensor for sensing a first user approaching the vehicle, and a transceiver for communicating with another vehicle. The vehicle also includes a controller determining a distance of the first user from the vehicle and communicating with the other vehicle which determines a second user from the other vehicle, wherein the controller prioritizes which of the vehicle and the other vehicle is granted permission to open a door based on the distances of the first user and the second user.
