Driver profile reset system and methods thereof
11708039 · 2023-07-25 · ·

The present disclosure relates to user settings on a vehicle. More particularly, this disclosure describes a driver profile reset system and methods thereof to remove those user settings. In an illustrative embodiment, a driver may be presented with a pin pad on a head unit display. The user may enter their pin thereon. The system may authenticate it to enable user settings on the vehicle. Thereafter, the user settings may be removed or wiped from the system to prevent access to such information. The setting, for example, may be removed after the driver unbuckles their seatbelt and opens their door.

REMOTE START SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A WORK MACHINE
20230226999 · 2023-07-20 ·

A remote start system and method for a work machine wherein the system comprises a communication device, an engine starter subsystem, a fluid pressure sensor, and a controller. In a first step, controller receives a wake signal from the communication device, The controller then confirms the lock status of a safety lock on the work machine and outputs an engine start signal to the engine starter subsystem upon confirming the lock status. The controller then receives a fluid pressure signal from the fluid pressure sensor, and outputs an engine stop signal if the fluid pressure signal is below a predetermined threshold after a specified timeframe.

Antenna

Antenna having a housing (3), a core (1) and a coil (2), which is wound around the core (1), the core (1) with the coil (2) in a potting compound (5) being mounted in the housing (3), the potting compound (5) being softer than 40 Shore A.

System, method, infrastructure, and vehicle for automated valet parking

An automated parking system and a method enable a driverless vehicle to autonomously travel and park in a vacant parking slot through communication with a parking infrastructure. The automated parking system and method also control the driverless vehicle to autonomously travel from a parking slot to a pickup area through communication with the parking infrastructure.

Vehicle operation detection device

A vehicle operation detection device includes sensors laid out in a vehicle along an axis in an opening-closing direction of a door of the vehicle. When the user moves a part of a body toward the sensors and a motion of moving the part of the body along the axis is detected, the sensors detect an opening-closing operation for the door. The vehicle operation detection device further includes light-emitting members laid out in the vehicle along the axis in the opening-closing direction and an operation direction indicator configured to drive the light-emitting members in sequence in a first direction in a fully-closed state of the door and drives the light-emitting members in sequence in a second direction in a fully-open state of the door.

SECURITY SYSTEM

A security system includes a portable terminal, a communication device communicating with the portable terminal, and a determination unit determining validity of the portable terminal. Phase data acquired from distance measuring radio wave is used to determine validity of communication between the portable terminal and the communication device. The received phase data of the distance measuring radio wave varies according to the distance from a transmission source. When the communication device and the portable terminal are fixed, and the communication device and the portable terminal have transmitted and received distance measuring radio waves having the same specific frequency, vehicle acquisition phase data and terminal acquisition phase data are the same. The determination unit determines, by using this two types of phase data, the validity of communication between the communication device and the portable terminal is determined.

REMOTE PARKING SYSTEM AND PARKING ASSISTANCE CONTROL APPARATUS USED THEREIN
20230012530 · 2023-01-19 ·

A remote parking system performs remote parking in which a vehicle is moved from a current position and parked by remote parking. In the remote parking system, a remote controller can be carried outside the vehicle, issues an instruction for remote parking by being operated by an operator, and includes a display screen that displays a state of remote parking. An imaging apparatus captures a peripheral image of the vehicle. A control unit inputs imaging data from the imaging apparatus, and includes an image generating unit that generates an image to be displayed on the display screen based on the imaging data. The image generating unit generates, as a remote parking image, an image in a direction along a line of sight in which a vehicle direction is viewed from the operator. The image includes a blind spot position positioned on a side opposite the operator relative to the vehicle.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

The present disclosure provides an apparatus, method and system for use with a vehicle having passive keyless entry and start (PKES) system including a vehicle unit and a key fob storage unit. The vehicle unit is to be installed with the vehicle having a first transceiver, a first relay transceiver an authentication unit, a first controller for controlling said first relay transceiver allowing said transmission if said user is authenticated. The key fob storage unit comprises at least one housing for securely holding at least one key fob associated with said PKES systems of said vehicles, a second, said second wireless relay w wherein said first relay transceiver and said second relay transceiver allows said PKES system and said key fob to communicate from a distance larger than a range of said PKES system signals.

Capacitance sensor

A capacitance sensor includes a switch control unit that performs a first switching process that turns on a first switch and then repeatedly performs a second switching process that complementarily switches off and on second and third switches that are respectively connected to second and third capacitors; an obtaining unit that calculates, as a sensor output value, a number of times the second switching process is repeated until a magnitude relationship reverses between an intermediate potential and a reference potential; a calculation unit that calculates a sensor output corrected value obtained by correcting the sensor output value such that a resolution becomes uniform; and a determination unit that determines whether a detection target exists from a magnitude relationship between a sensor output difference value and a determination threshold value.

ACCESS ARRANGEMENT FOR A VEHICLE

An access arrangement for a vehicle comprises a vehicle transmission/reception device configured to transmit multiple interrogation signals to a mobile identification transmitter, receive corresponding response signals from the mobile identification transmitter in response to the transmitted interrogation signals, and determine a respective time interval that elapsed between the transmission of an interrogation signal and the reception of a corresponding response signal. Furthermore, the access arrangement comprises a vehicle control device configured to output a different control command based on a change in the specific time intervals for two transmitted interrogation signals. The interrogation signals and response signals are in accordance with the UWB standard. Based on the evaluation of the time-of-flight differences of two interrogation signals, it is possible to detect when the mobile identification transmitter changes location or remains at one location, and accordingly to output a different and appropriate control command by the vehicle control device.
