System and Method for Detecting Intrusion Into In-Vehicle Network

An embodiment intrusion detection system for detecting intrusions in an in-vehicle network includes a message queue module configured to store network messages collected from the in-vehicle network in a message queue, a memory configured to securely store a ruleset comprising a set of detection rules used in a plurality of detection techniques, a rule engine configured to apply the plurality of detection techniques to the collected network messages to detect security events and configured to determine a severity score and a reliability score for each detected security event, and an interface manager configured to transmit detection reports to a remote backend server in response to detection of the security events.

VEHICLES AND VEHICLE SYSTEMS FOR OPERATING POWERED RUNNING BOARDS IN AN ALARM DETERRENT MODE

A vehicle including a powered running board, a motor for positioning the powered running board between a stowed position and a deployed position, a sensor configured to capture data of activity around the vehicle, and an electronic control unit configured to process the data captured by the sensor to detect an unauthorized event around the vehicle, and operate the motor to repeatedly move the powered running board in a predetermined pattern based on at least one of position and a speed in response to the sensor detecting an unauthorized event around the vehicle.

METHODA AND APPARATUS FOR TRAILER MONITORING

A trailer door system that comprises at least one trailer door assembly operably engaged with the trailer; and at least one driving assembly operably engaged with the trailer and the at least one trailer door assembly. The at least one driving assembly further comprises an expansion assembly operably engaged with the at least one trailer door assembly. The at least one driving assembly further comprises a rotary actuator operably engaged with the expansion assembly, wherein the rotary actuator is configured to transition the expansion assembly between a collapsed position and an expanded position for pivoting the at least one trailer door assembly between a closed position and an opened position about an axis parallel to a vertical axis defined by the trailer. A trailer monitoring system may be included with the trailer door system for automating the state of the trailer during a towing operation.

REGION MONITORING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD FOR REGION MONITORING SYSTEM

A region monitoring system includes: a first communication control unit that transmits monitoring camera captured-image data to a monitoring server, the monitoring camera captured-image data being captured-image data of a monitoring camera that monitors a region in which a plurality of houses are located; and a camera communication control unit that transmits in-vehicle camera captured-image data to the monitoring server, the in-vehicle camera captured-image data being captured-image data of an in-vehicle camera of a vehicle located in the region.

Surveillance and monitoring system

A method and system provides centralized redundant monitoring suitable for effectively recording and tracking video monitoring systems at a plurality of remote surveillance locations. The method and system are configured to track, monitor, capture, and record video originating from transportation vehicles using a novel technological configuration that minimizes overall and sub-system downtime relative to conventional technologies. The remote surveillance locations are capable of utilizing self-healing and recovery mechanisms and reporting status information to the centralized monitoring system. The centralized monitoring system can use information received from the remote surveillance locations to remotely monitor the status of the remote surveillance systems, to initiate remotely self-healing and recovery mechanisms, and request previously recorded surveillance data and live surveillance data in real time.

Remote vehicle immobilizer

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for a remote vehicle immobilizer. A network gateway device receives a command from a remote computing device to modify a configuration of an electronic switch from a first configuration to a second configuration. The electronic switch is positioned in a conducting path between a starter motor of the vehicle and a battery of the vehicle. In response to receiving the command, the network gateway device transmits a signal to the electronic switch via a two-way communication channel connecting the network gateway device to the electronic switch. The signal causes the electronic switch to modify the configuration of the electronic switch from the first configuration to the second configuration.

Vehicle control system, vehicle control method, and recording medium in which vehicle control program is recorded

A vehicle control system includes: a possible user determination section that allows a first camera having a first resolution to capture an image around a vehicle to determine whether or not the captured image includes a possible facial image of a user; a user determination section that allows a second camera having a second resolution which is higher than the first resolution and consuming more power than the first camera to capture an image around the vehicle to determine whether or not the captured image includes a facial image of the user in a case where the possible user determination section determines that the possible facial image of the user is included; and an entry permission section that permits the user to enter the vehicle in a case where the user determination section recognizes that the facial image of the user is included.

Low-power vehicle sentinel systems and methods

Low-power vehicle sentinel systems and methods are disclosed herein. An example method includes obtaining electromagnetic signals in a target area surrounding a vehicle. The electromagnetic signals can be obtained from electromagnetic elements mounted to the vehicle. The method can include determining attributes or behaviors of an object in the target area based on the electromagnetic signals and executing a response measure based on the attributes or behaviors of the object.
