IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
An image display device includes: a camera mounted on a movable member of a vehicle to take an image representing a surrounding of the vehicle; a display that displays the taken image; a state detector that detects a state of the movable member; and a controller that controls the display to display the taken image. The state detector detects that the state of the movable member is a first state and detects that the state of the movable member is a second state different from the first state. The controller controls the display to display the taken image when the state detected by the state detector is the first state. The controller controls the display not to display the taken image when the state detected by the state detector is the second state.
Rear vision camera switching
Methods and systems are provided for controlling camera images of vehicle cameras. In one example, a camera, a radio system, a processor, and a display are disposed onboard a vehicle. The camera is configured to generate camera images. The radio system is configured to process the camera images. The processor is configured to at least facilitate determining whether a radio system of the vehicle is functioning properly; processing the camera images through the radio system prior to displaying the camera images within the vehicle, if the radio system is functioning properly; and providing instructions for displaying the camera images within the vehicle without processing the camera images through the radio system, if the radio system is not functioning properly. The display is configured to display the camera images in accordance with the instructions provided by the processor.
Camera System and Mirror Replacement System
A camera system (1) for a commercial vehicle has at least one image capture unit (3) for capturing an image, an image reproduction unit (8) for reproducing the captured image at least one functional unit (4.1, 4.2) for performing a vehicle function and at least one control unit (2) for outputting a control signal. The camera system (1) transmits a video signal between the control unit (2) and the image reproduction unit (8) and controls the image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2) by a control signal outputted from the control unit (2). The functional interface (6.1) is provided between the image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2), via which functional interface (6.1), image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2) are coupleable with each other and decoupleable from each other.
Vehicular apparatus
A vehicular apparatus includes a controller unit configured to control a displaying operation of a video by a camera on a display and a communicator unit as an acquisition unit configured to acquire a vehicle state signal indicating a vehicle state. The controller unit is configured to perform a preparation for displaying the video by the camera on the display in response to the communicator unit acquiring the vehicle state signal indicating the vehicle state where the video by the camera is required.
VEHICLE PERIPHERY IMAGING/DISPLAY DEVICE AND A COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
In a case in which an ignition switch is turned off, imaging by a camera and display of a monitor are continued for a predetermined time, and thereafter, display of the monitor is stopped. Next, when opening of a door is detected by a courtesy switch, in a case in which display of the monitor is stopped, control is carried out to restart the display and enable confirmation of the vehicle periphery. Further, the display of the monitor is stopped in a case in which closing of a door is detected by a courtesy switch and locking is sensed by a door lock.
CAMERA MONITOR SYSTEM
A camera monitor system includes: left and right capturing devices; left and right displaying devices; and a control device detecting an abnormality of each of the left and right capturing devices and controlling a displaying state of each of the left and right displaying devices based on the detected abnormality. The control device individually controls each of the left and right displaying devices to be in a low power consumption state in accordance with a mode of the detected abnormality.
VEHICLE-MOUNTED IMAGE RECOGNITION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
In a vehicle-mounted image recognition apparatus, a resolution of an image projected on an imaging plane of an image sensor is different at a position away from a center between a circumferential direction and a radial direction. To make a circumferential resolution higher than a radial resolution, at least a lower half of the imaging plane is located closer to a circumferential focus than a middle of a radial focus and the circumferential focus at a position off the optical axis center of the image projected on the image sensor through the image-forming optical system. This is achieved by adjusting the position of the imaging plane when manufacturing or by selecting a lens with high circumferential resolution. This apparatus improves recognition accuracy in recognizing traffic lanes without using an expensive lens exhibiting high resolution both in the circumferential direction and in the radial direction.
DIGITAL VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEMS AND SYSTEMS FOR MOUNTING THE SAME
A display screen mount for automobiles may include a set of mounting brackets, wherein each mounting bracket is configured to be affixed at one end to an automobile and at another end to a display screen such that, when the display screen is mounted inside the automobile, graphics displayed on the display screen are visible outside the automobile. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
ON-VEHICLE IMAGING DEVICE
An on-vehicle imaging device includes an imaging element that captures image data of objects outside the vehicle through a front window of the vehicle. A housing of the on-vehicle imaging device accommodates a circuit substrate on which electronic components for processing the image data captured by the imaging element are mounted. A top plate of the housing located above the circuit substrate includes vent holes through which heat generated in the housing is released in a direction toward a window area included in an imaging range of the imaging element.
Tire heating system
A tire heating system for includes a wheel that may be attached to a vehicle. A tire is attached to the wheel and a charging unit is attached to the wheel. The charging unit produces an electrical current when the wheel is rotated. A heating unit is attached to the tire and the heating unit is electrically coupled to the charging unit. The heating unit heating the tire and the heating unit prevents ice formation on the tire.
