BRACKET FOR A PILLAR ASSEMBLY
A bracket for a display assembly includes a body that has a first edge and a second edge that define a first surface and a second surface of the body. An elongated retention feature is coupled to the first edge of the body and defines an elongated slot proximate to the first surface of the body. A plurality of retention clips are coupled to the second edge of the body. Each of the plurality of retention clips define a slot proximate to the first surface of the body. At least one housing is coupled to the second surface of the body and defines locking apertures. At least one cap is selectively coupled to the at least one housing. The at least one cap defines locking features selectively disposed within the locking apertures that are defined by the at least one housing.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR UPDATING AN IMAGE SECTION
The present disclosure refers to an apparatus for updating an image section, comprising a head with at least one first image capturing device, in particular in form of a mirror head, configure to rotate between a plurality of positions in order to obtain a first field-of-view (FOV); at least one second image capturing device, in particular comprising a camera module, configured to capture a second field-of-view (FOV) different than the first FOV; and an electronic control unit (ECU) configured to adjust the second image capturing device to capture the second FOV and update a display unit to exhibit the image section with the second FOV. It also refers to a rear view device with such an apparatus and a method for updating an image section.
Device for protecting an optical sensor
The invention relates to a device for protecting an optical sensor for a motor vehicle, said optical sensor comprising an optic, a casing mounted to rotate about an axis of rotation (A1) and having a housing configured to receive the optical sensor, an optical element rigidly attached to the casing and configured to be arranged in the field of vision of the optical sensor, and an actuator coupled to the casing in order to rotate the casing and the optical element, the actuator comprising a rotor and a stator configured such that actuator is a motor with an internal rotor.
VEHICLE MONITORING DEVICE, VEHICLE MONITORING METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY MEMORY MEDIUM
A vehicle monitoring device for installment in a vehicle in which a cargo bed is provided at a rear side of a cabin and a tailgate is provided at a rear end portion of the cargo bed. The vehicle monitoring device includes a memory and a processor connected to the memory. The processor is configured to cause a first imaging unit installed at a rear face portion of the tailgate to capture an image rearward of the vehicle, cause a second imaging unit installed at a cabin rear end portion side of an upper portion of the vehicle to capture an image of the cargo bed and rearward of the vehicle, cause an open or closed state acquisition section to acquire an open or closed state of the tailgate, and when a state in which the tailgate is in a closed state is acquired by the open or closed state acquisition section, use images captured by the first imaging unit to assist monitoring rearward of the vehicle, and when a state in which the tailgate is in an open state is acquired by the open or closed state acquisition section, use images captured by the second imaging unit to assist monitoring rearward of the vehicle.
Vehicle Camera System
A camera system for a vehicle comprising: (a) a rear camera configured to be secured to an outer surface of a tailgate of the vehicle to provide imaging of a rear area behind the vehicle when the tailgate is in a closed position; (b) an alternate camera configured to be secured to the vehicle to provide imaging of the rear area of the vehicle when the tailgate is in an open position; and (c) a tilt switch configured to determine a position of the tailgate and signal to activate the rear camera or the alternate camera based on the position of the tailgate.
Vehicular camera module
A vehicular camera module includes a front housing, a printed circuit board housed by the front housing, an imager at the printed circuit board, a rear housing joined with the front housing, and a coaxial connecting element. With the rear housing joined with the front housing, an inward-extending portion of the coaxial connecting element extends inward of the rear housing towards the front housing and electrically connects with circuitry at the printed circuit board. With the rear housing joined with the front housing, a plurality of spring tabs make electrical connection between the circuitry at the printed circuit board and the rear housing. An outward-extending portion of the coaxial connecting element is configured for coaxial electrical connection to a vehicle connector.
CAMERA MIRROR SYSTEM INCLUDING AUTOMATIC ANGULAR ADJUSTMENT FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE DISPLAYS
A method for adjusting a human machine interface (HMI) element location in a commercial vehicle display includes displaying, on an electronic display of a commercial vehicle, images from a camera secured to the commercial vehicle that depict a trailer of the commercial vehicle and its surrounding environment; determining a reference location of a reference point of the trailer in the images; superimposing an HMI element in the images on the electronic display at an HMI location determined relative to the reference location; and detecting that the reference location has changed in the images, and adjusting the HMI location in response thereto. A camera monitoring system (CMS) for a vehicle and a method for a camera mirror system are also disclosed.
VEHICULAR APPARATUS
