The at least one sensor comprises at least one camera, and the vehicular environment data comprises image data. The vehicular environment data is provided to a processing unit. The processing unit determines vehicular environment information. The determination of the vehicular environment information comprises use of the vehicular environment data. At least part of the image data is displayed on a display monitor on the basis of the vehicular environment information. The processing unit causes the display monitor to display the at least part of the image data.

Dynamic surround camera system
10358088 · 2019-07-23 · ·

A system comprising a plurality of camera sensors and a processor. The camera sensors may each be configured to generate a video signal having a view. The processor may be configured to (a) generate an output video signal by selecting one or more of the video signals and (b) present the selected output video signal to a display for viewing. The output video signal may be automatically selected in response to a selection signal. The selection signal may be generated in response to analysis of one or more images in the video signals. The analysis of the one or more images in the video signals may comprise determining an appropriate view for a driver. The processor may remove possible warping present in the video signals.

Crowd-sourced driver grading

An video analysis computing system driving analysis may include a camera associated with a first vehicle and having a viewing angle capable of capturing a video of one or more other vehicles in proximity to the first vehicle, a first memory location communicatively coupled to the camera, wherein the first memory location stores video data captured by the camera, and an evaluation module including a processor executing instructions that cause the processor to: evaluate the captured video stored in the first memory location to determine whether a driving event performed by a second vehicle has occurred, assign, in response to an identified driving event performed by the second vehicle, a driving event rating to a video showing the identified driving event, wherein the driving event rating may be calculated, at least in part, using a crowd-sourced driving event rating obtained after posting the video to a social network.

SURROUNDINGS MONITORING SYSTEM FOR WORK MACHINE
20190218754 · 2019-07-18 ·

A surroundings monitoring system for a work machine includes a display device in a cabin of the work machine, an image capturing unit configured to capture an image of the surroundings of the work machine, and a processor configured to generate a surrounding image of the work machine and to cause a monitoring image to be displayed on the display device. The monitoring image includes a work machine image and the surrounding image placed along the periphery of the work machine image. The processor is configured to cause a magnified monitoring image to be displayed on the display device. The magnified monitoring image magnifies a partial area of the surrounding image in the monitoring image. The partial area is centered on a position closer to a predetermined target object included in the surrounding image than to the work machine image and includes the target object.

IMAGE VIEWING ANGLE SWITCHING SYSTEM FOR REVERSING IMAGE DISPLAY AND METHOD THEREOF
20190222770 · 2019-07-18 ·

The present disclosure illustrates an image viewing angle switching system for reversing image display and a method thereof. In an embodiment, a reversing image is performed by image fisheye correction, image cropping processing, image white balance processing and image exposure processing to generate a horizontal-view reversing image or a top-view reversing image, and the horizontal-view reversing image is switched to the top-view reversing image for display according to a vehicle reversing distance from the vehicle to an obstruction, thereby achieving a technical effect of avoiding blind spot for the reversing image.

Vehicle vision system with multiple cameras
10354155 · 2019-07-16 · ·

A vision system for a vehicle includes a plurality of cameras having respective fields of view exterior of the vehicle. The plurality of cameras includes driver and passenger side wide angle cameras having wide angle fields of view, driver and passenger side rearward viewing cameras having fields of view sideward and rearward of the vehicle, and a rear camera having a wide angle field of view rearward of the vehicle. A display is operable to display images derived from image data captured by at least some of the cameras. The display displays a panoramic view derived from image data captured by the rear camera, the left-side rearward viewing camera and the right-side rearward viewing camera. The display displays a surround view derived from image data captured by at least some of the plurality of cameras.

System and method for improved obstacle awareness in using a V2X communications system

A system and method is taught for collaborative vehicle to all (V2X) communications to improve autonomous driving vehicle performance in a heterogeneous capability environment by sharing capabilities among different vehicles. In particular, the system and method are operative to receive an image from a proximate vehicle and to augment a display within the host vehicle by providing a view of objects with an area of obstructed view.

Vehicular vision system with rear backup video display
10336255 · 2019-07-02 · ·

A vision system for a vehicle includes a rear backup camera and a display device including a video display screen. Within two seconds of shifting the vehicle transmission into reverse gear, the display device displays rear backup video images derived from captured image data. Rear backup video images derived from captured image data can be displayed after shifting out of reverse gear until a threshold condition is met. A user input is actuatable by the driver of the vehicle to change display of rear backup video images to display of other video images. Display of the other video images occurs after a delay period has elapsed since shifting into reverse gear. During the delay period and commencing when the vehicle transmission was shifted into reverse gear, only rear backup video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera are displayed by the video display screen.
