Vehicle vision system with enhanced display functions
A vision system for a vehicle includes at least one image sensor, a control and a display. The image sensor is disposed at a subject vehicle and has a field of view exterior of the vehicle. The control, at least in part responsive to image processing of image data captured by the image sensor, is operable to generate an avatar representative of at least one object or scene segment in the field of view of the image sensor. The display is operable to display the avatar. The vision system may display an avatar that is a representation of an object that is only partially viewed by the image sensor to enhance the display for viewing and understanding by the driver of the subject vehicle, and a portion of the avatar representing the non-viewed portion of the object may be displayed in phantom.
Method for operating a display device for a vehicle
A method includes: determining a glare effect in a first partial region of the first display device in which an item of information is represented as an image; sorting items of information according to relevance if a plurality of items of information is represented on the first display device; checking and establishing that a glare effect in a second partial region of the first display device or on a second display device is lower than the glare effect in the first partial region; checking and establishing that no item of information, or an item of information with lower relevance, is represented in the second partial region of the first display device or on the second display device; and representing the one item of information, or the one item of information with a higher relevance, in the second partial region of the first display device or on the second display device.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGING APPARATUS, CAMERA MONITOR SYSTEM, AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An image processing apparatus includes a communication interface configured to receive a first captured image capturing a face of a subject in a moving body, and a controller configured to change at least one of a position and a size of a specific region in either the first captured image or a second captured image different from the first captured image, according to at least one of a position and an orientation of the face of the subject determined on the basis of the first captured image, as well as a direction of a line-of-sight of the subject.
Vehicular control system with trailering assist function
A vehicular control system includes a camera having an exterior field of view at least rearward of the vehicle and operable to capture image data. A trailer is attached to the vehicle and image data captured by the camera includes image data captured when the vehicle is maneuvered with the trailer at an angle relative to the vehicle. The vehicular control system determines a trailer angle of the trailer and is operable to determine a path of the trailer responsive at least to a steering angle of the vehicle and the determined trailer angle of the trailer. The vehicular control system determines an object present exterior of the vehicle and the vehicular control system distinguishes a drivable surface from a prohibited space, and the vehicular control system plans a driving path for the vehicle that neither impacts the object nor violates the prohibited space.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEWARPING IMAGES
A computer-implemented method comprises: extracting a setting from a description file of a virtual pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera used to capture an original image through a wide-angle lens; determining a first set of coordinates of a pixel of the original image for each cell of a sparse conversion map represented as a first look-up table, wherein the sparse conversion map corresponds to a sparse grid of pixels of an output image; determining, via interpolating the first set of coordinates, a second set of coordinates of a pixel of the original image for each cell of a full conversion map, wherein the second set of coordinates is represented as a second look-up table, wherein the full conversion map corresponds to a full grid of pixels of the output image; instructing a display to present the output image, wherein the original image is less rectilinear than the output image.
DRIVE ASSIST APPARATUS
A drive assist apparatus includes a recognition processing portion recognizing circumstances of surroundings of a vehicle, a drive assistance processing portion performing a drive assist control in accordance with the circumstances of the surroundings, a display processing portion displaying a change of the circumstances of the surroundings on a display portion, a detection processing portion detecting information related to a line of sight of a driver of the vehicle, and in a case where the circumstances of the surroundings of the vehicle change, an output processing portion outputting a first notice notifying the driver that the circumstances of the surroundings of the vehicle have changed outputting a second notice notifying again the driver that the circumstances of the surroundings have changed after the first notice is outputted if it is not detected that the line of sight of the driver is directed to the display portion.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE STATUS BASED ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE
The present invention provides a method and system of historical reaction based driver advanced assistance. In this method, a combination of external environment to a vehicle on which the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) is mounted fetched by forward looking cameras is combined with rear looking camera for internal environment or driver state, is generated. The generated combination is utilized to analyze is there is any critical situation that is upcoming. For providing feedback for such situation, processor within the ADAS fetches current vehicle state by utilizing multiple parameters stored within a storage. The intensity of the feedback is varied upon the current vehicle state of the vehicle.
Camera module for automobile
An embodiment of a camera module comprises: a lens part; a housing for coupling the lens part; a plurality of substrates which are disposed at an interval from each other inside the housing; and an electromagnetic field shielding part, disposed inside the housing, for preventing the occurrence of external leakage of electromagnetic field from each of the substrates, wherein the electromagnetic field shielding part may comprise a coupling means for coupling the plurality of substrates at an interval from each other in the optical axial direction of the lens part.
HEATING DEVICE FOR A CAMERA LENS
A heating device for a lens of a camera includes at least one body including at least one matrix material and at least one conductive material, the conductive material being dispersed in the matrix material to form a conductive mass, and at least two electrical contacts contacting the conductive mass for applying an electrical voltage to the conductive mass. A system includes such a heating device and a camera, a rear view display device for a vehicle includes such a heating device or such a system, and a vehicle includes such a rear view display device.
