INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus capable of assisting safe driving of a vehicle at a place such as an intersection where the view from the vehicle is obstructed or restricted is provided. A detection processing unit detects a traffic mirror in an image and an object in the traffic mirror on the basis of image information representing an image captured by an image capturing apparatus mounted in a vehicle. And a calculating unit calculates a difference between a size of the detected traffic mirror and a reference size and calculates a size of the object by using the calculated difference. Driving assist information for the vehicle is generated on the basis of the calculated size of the object, and the generated driving assist information is output.
Driver assistance system for vehicle
A driver assistance system for a vehicle includes a camera that, when disposed at the vehicle, views through a windshield of the vehicle. The camera is disposed at a windshield electronics module attached at the windshield of the vehicle. The camera captures image data of a scene forward of the vehicle. A control includes an image processor that processes captured image data. The control, responsive to the image processor processing captured image data, detects an object of interest external to the vehicle. The control utilizes a blockage detection algorithm and, responsive to the image processor processing captured image data, is operable to detect at least a partial blocking condition at the camera.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR SHOVEL
An image display apparatus for a shovel that includes a lower-part traveling body, an upper-part turning body turnably placed on the lower-part traveling body, and an attachment mounted on the upper-part turning body, and performs work in a work area by driving the attachment, includes an image display part configured to display the work area to be subjected to the work. An image of the work area captured with an image capturing device is subjected to image processing to add and indicate a distribution of depressions and elevations of the work area, and is displayed on the image display part.
Camera System and Mirror Replacement System
A camera system (1) for a commercial vehicle has at least one image capture unit (3) for capturing an image, an image reproduction unit (8) for reproducing the captured image at least one functional unit (4.1, 4.2) for performing a vehicle function and at least one control unit (2) for outputting a control signal. The camera system (1) transmits a video signal between the control unit (2) and the image reproduction unit (8) and controls the image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2) by a control signal outputted from the control unit (2). The functional interface (6.1) is provided between the image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2), via which functional interface (6.1), image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2) are coupleable with each other and decoupleable from each other.
Vehicle emergency system
Described herein is an emergency system with rear camera and sensor to report emergencies and accidents that occur to the vehicle to which the system is installed. The device includes various sensors, detectors, and communication elements to signal a triggering condition to an emergency services provider.
VEHICULAR COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM
A collision mitigation system for a vehicle includes a plurality of cameras, a radar sensor and/or lidar sensor, and a control that may process data captured by the cameras, radar sensor and/or lidar sensor. When the vehicle is moving and responsive at least in part to a determination that the vehicle is approaching an object present forwardly of the vehicle, the control is operable to control application by an automatic emergency braking system of a vehicle brake of the vehicle to mitigate collision with the object. Responsive to determination that a following vehicle is following the vehicle and when the determined following vehicle is within a threshold distance from the vehicle and is approaching the vehicle above a threshold rate of approach, the control adjusts automatic emergency braking of the vehicle to mitigate collision at the rear of the vehicle by the determined following vehicle.
DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR A VEHICLE
A display apparatus for a vehicle is provided with a display unit and a display position control unit. The display unit is capable of displaying information at plural different display positions. In an autonomous driving state of the vehicle, the display position control unit detects a position of a steering wheel and an eye position of a driver. When the display position control unit determines that information displayed by the display unit is obscured by the steering wheel as seen by the driver, the display position control unit causes the information to be displayed at a display position that is visible to the driver.
VEHICLE ENVIRONMENT IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A vehicle includes at least one image capture device and a user display configured to display images receive from the at least one image capture device. The vehicle also includes a controller programmed to generate a user prompt to set a home vehicle position in response the vehicle entering a first parked state. The controller is also programmed to store at least one reference image indicative of an area in a vicinity of the vehicle corresponding to the home vehicle position. The controller is further programmed to collect a current image corresponding to a current vehicle position in response to a subsequent approach toward the vicinity, and compare the current image to the reference image. The controller is further programmed to generate a user display depicting the vicinity, the current vehicle position, and the home vehicle position.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING AN IMAGE OF THE SURROUNDINGS OF A VEHICLE COMBINATION
The invention relates to a method and a device for displaying an image of the surroundings of a combination of two vehicles that are coupled to one another. According to the invention, image data is sensed by sensors on both of the combined vehicles. Taking into account the three-dimensional position of the vehicles relative to one another, the image data is then combined so as to obtain a common image of the surroundings. The obtained common image of the surroundings allows a driver/operator to efficiently and safely perceive the surroundings around the entire vehicle combination.
System and method for dynamic in-vehicle virtual reality
A computer-implemented method for rendering views to an output device and controlling a vehicle. The method includes determining a maneuver path for the vehicle within a spatial environment around the vehicle based on vehicle data from one or more vehicle systems of the vehicle. The method includes updating a view based on the spatial environment and the maneuver path, by augmenting one or more components of a model to provide a representation of the maneuver path virtually in the view as an available maneuver path or an unavailable maneuver path. The view is rendered to an output device and a vehicle maneuver request is generated based on the maneuver path. Further, the one or more vehicle systems are controlled to execute the vehicle maneuver request.
