DRIVING SUPPORT APPARATUS
A driving support apparatus is configured to execute steering support control of changing a steering angle of a vehicle based on vehicle surroundings information. The driving support apparatus includes a cleaning apparatus configured to execute cleaning processing for cleaning a window section when a cleaning request is generated. The driving support apparatus is configured to determine whether or not a predetermined cleaning prohibition condition is satisfied, the predetermined cleaning prohibition condition being satisfied when the vehicle is predicted to be likely to approach an object present near the vehicle on the assumption that the cleaning processing is executed. The driving support apparatus prohibits the cleaning apparatus from executing the cleaning processing when the cleaning prohibition condition is determined to be satisfied in a case where the cleaning request is generated during execution of the steering support control.
DEPOSIT REMOVAL SYSTEM, AND DEPOSIT REMOVAL METHOD
A deposit removal system includes a camera, display means that displays an image that is acquired by the camera, detection means that detects an operation of a user on the display means, deposit removal means that performs a removal action for removing a deposit that is attached to a lens of the camera, and control means that causes the deposit removal means to perform the removal action, based on the operation on an image detected by the detection means.
VEHICLE OPTICAL DEVICE COMPRISING A HEATING ELEMENT
An optical device comprises a printed circuit card comprising an image capture electronic circuit, a metal lens support comprising at least one optical lens, the lens support being mounted on the printed circuit card so as to align, on the optical axis of the device, the image capture electronic circuit and the optical lens; the device further comprises at least one first electrically conductive heating element on and in electrical contact with the printed circuit card, between the lens support and the printed circuit card, and bearing against the lens support, the first heating element being configured to have passed through it an electrical current coming from the printed circuit card.
CAMERA BASED ACTIVATION OF HEATED WIPERS AND WINDSHIELD DEFROST
A method to automatically activate at least one cold weather feature of a vehicle includes determining if the vehicle is in a state for activating at least one cold weather feature, and then determining at least one cold weather condition exists for activating at least one cold weather feature. When it is determined that at least one cold weather condition exists the at least one cold weather feature is automatically activated.
VEHICLE WINDOW GLASS
A vehicle window glass includes: a curved glass plate having a first face and a second face; two bus bars that are formed on the first face and are respectively disposed along any two sides of the glass plate; a plurality of heating wires that are formed on the first face and are arranged in parallel to connect the bus bars to each other; and connection terminals that are respectively disposed on the two bus bars, in which the two bus bars each have a first region wherein the connection terminal is disposed, and a second region other than the first region, wherein the first region and the second region are linked along the corresponding side, and the width of the first region is the same as or smaller than the width of the second region.
VEHICLE WARMING SYSTEM
A vehicle warming system for melting snow and ice from a vehicle includes a vehicle that has a plurality of body panels, a plurality of doors and a plurality of windows. A plurality of heating units is each coupled to the vehicle. Each of the heating units is positioned within an associated one of the body panels and each of the heating units is in thermal communication with the associated body panel to melt snow and ice off of the associated body panel. A plurality of window heaters is each is positioned on an associated one of the windows of the vehicle. Each of the window heaters is in thermal communication with the associated window for melting ice and snow from the associated window. A control is coupled to the vehicle for controlling each of the heating units and each of the window heaters.
Window assembly
A window assembly includes a polymeric interlayer provided between an inner pane of glass and an outer pane of glass. The inner pane and outer pane each have a first major surface and a second major surface. The second major surface of the outer pane and the first major surface of the inner pane face each other. The window assembly also includes a connector assembly. The connector assembly has a wire assembly. The wire assembly has a terminal connector. The terminal connector has a width and a height. The width is greater than the height. The terminal connector is attached to a busbar provided on the second major surface of either the inner pane or the outer pane. A potting layer is provided over the terminal connector. The potting layer separates the terminal connector from an electrically conductive portion of a vehicle adjacent thereto.
CLEANING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and a method for cleaning glass used in cars or cameras are disclosed. Said cleaning apparatus comprises glass, multiple electrodes placed in series on top of said glass, a dielectric layer stacked on top of said electrodes, and a hydrophobic layer stacked on top of said dielectric layer and on whose surface a droplet forms. Here, said droplet moves towards the outer edge of said glass by application of differing direct current voltages to several of said electrodes.
