An electronic systems center includes a housing, having a base and a cover, an image processing module held in the housing and an imaging port in the housing where that imaging port includes an integral glare shield. The electronic systems center may also include one or more of a USB charger, an EWAFS module, a rain sensor, a rearview mirror, a rearview mirror tether and windshield heater terminals.

DEVICE TO BREAK ICE ACCUMULATION AROUND CONVERTIBLE WINDOWS BY USING VIBRATIONS

A convertible vehicle includes a door having a window and a powered actuator that moves the window from a closed position to a partially open (set) position to permit the vehicle door to open. A controller actuates the powered actuator to shift the window to a set position upon receiving a door open request signal. The controller actuates a powered vibrating mechanism to break ice on the window if actuating the powered actuator does not cause the window to move to the set position.

REAR CAMERA WITH DEFROSTER AND EMBEDDED PROXIMITY SWITCH

Method and apparatus are disclosed for operating a rear camera with an embedded defroster and proximity switch. An example vehicle includes a rear view camera having a lens, an indium-tin-oxide (ITO) coating applied to the lens, and a control system. The control system is configured to detect a water-based obstruction on the lens, run current through the ITO coating to remove the water-based obstruction, detect a lens touch event, and release a vehicle trunk latch responsive to the lens touch event.

Transparent pane with an electrical heating layer, and production process therefor

A transparent pane with an electrical heating layer extends at least over a part of the pane surface and can be electrically connected to a power source. The transparent pane is electrically connected through a strip-shaped first bus bar and a strip-shaped second bus bar, which are electrically conductively connected directly to the heating layer over the entire strip length. In a method for producing the transparent pane the zone heating element is electrically conductively connected directly to at least one first flat ribbon cable and to at least one second flat ribbon cable in an electrical parallel circuit with respect to the heating field.

FOG REMOVING DEVICE

Provided is a fog removing device including a sensor configured to detect fog to generate sensing data, a heater configured to generate heat to remove the fog, and a control unit configured to supply a power to the heater by using the sensing data. The sensor includes a substrate, a first electrode and a second electrode, which are provided on the substrate and electrically disconnected from each other, and a recess region defined between the first and second electrodes.

Polymeric vehicle glazing with a flush mounted opaque edge zone

A polymeric vehicle glazing is described, having an outer face and an inner face, with a transparent polymeric component at the outer face and the inner face. An opaque polymeric component is flush mounted at the inner face in at least one section of the transparent polymeric component.

SENSOR ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A SENSOR DEVICE
20180312116 · 2018-11-01 ·

The invention relates to a sensor arrangement for a motor vehicle, with a pane, a sensor housing, and an optical sensor, wherein the sensor housing is arranged on one side of the pane such that between the sensor housing and the pane, a gap is formed, in which the optical sensor is arranged. To allow for a deicing of the pane in an area of the sensor housing in a particularly simple and thus cost-effective manner, it is provided that between the sensor housing and the side of the pane, a heat conducting element is arranged to conduct heat from outside the sensor housing in between the sensor housing and the pane.

VARIABLE STATOR VANE ACTUATOR OVERLOAD INDICATING BUSHING
20180313222 · 2018-11-01 ·

A bushing includes cylindrical body depending from preferably annular polygonal flange, bore extending through flange and body, and at least one overload indicator. Overload indicator may be frangible such as frangible tab at distal end of indicator tab depending from body or frangible coupons extending between forward and aft sections of polygonal flange. Frangible tab and coupons may include distinctive mark discernible or visible under visible or ultraviolet light. Bushing may be used in unison ring of high pressure compressor assembly to connect lever arms, coupled to variable vanes, to unison ring. Pins disposed in bore of bushing couple arm to unison ring. Forward and aft overhangs may depend from forward and aft sections of polygonal flange and overhang forward and aft annular sides of unison ring.

ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR WINDOW ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Systems and methods for environmentally sealing electrical connections of window assemblies are disclosed. A mechanically protective enclosure assembly is adhered to a transparent pane including glass. The enclosure assembly includes a first member, a second member, and an opening. The first member includes a transparent-pane engaging surface, a first interface surface, and a plurality of first walls extending therebetween. The second member is attached to the first member. The second member includes a top member, a second interface surface, and a plurality of second walls extending therebetween. The first interface surface engages the second interface surface to provide a first fluid-tight seal. The opening is defined by at least one of the plurality of first walls and at least one of the plurality of second walls. The opening engages the wiring harness to provide a second fluid-tight seal therebetween.
