AIR FLOW DISTRIBUTION DEVICE
20180208013 · 2018-07-26 ·

An air flow distribution device of a driver HVAC unit is described. The air flow distribution device can direct conditioned air flow into a space of a housing of the air flow distribution device via an air inlet of the air flow distribution device. A single motor of the driver HVAC unit can control an orientation of an air flow distribution mechanism of the air flow distribution device. Based on the orientation of the air flow distribution mechanism, the air flow distribution mechanism can direct the conditioned air entering the space via the air inlet to exit the housing via one of the window air module, the head air module, and the foot air module of the air flow distribution device.

The camera module includes a housing and a lens barrel supporting a lens. A heating device is configured to attach at an exterior of the lens barrel. The heating device includes a heating element that at least partially circumscribes the lens barrel when the heating device is attached at the lens barrel. The heating device includes an electrical lead configured to electrically connect to an electrical connector of the vehicle when the camera module is disposed at the exterior portion of the vehicle.

Heating element comprising films

A heating element including: (I) a substrate equipped with a thin-film multilayer, the thin-film multilayer including a heating film that has an electrical sheet resistance lying between 20 and 200 ohms per square, and two nonmetallic dielectric films located on either side of the heating film; and (II) two conductive collectors designed to receive a voltage, where the heating film is unpatterned, made of metal, and electrically connected to the two conductive collectors.

Multi-frequency reduction of fluid droplet

A signal generator has a generator output. The signal generator is configured to generate first and second signals at the generator output. The first signal has a first frequency, and the second signal has a second frequency. Switching circuitry has a circuitry input and a circuitry output. The circuitry input is coupled to the generator output. The circuitry output is adapted to be coupled to an ultrasonic transducer mechanically coupled with a surface. The switching circuitry is configured to: provide the first signal to the ultrasonic transducer at the first frequency to reduce a fluid droplet on the surface from a first size to a second size; and provide the second signal to the ultrasonic transducer at the second frequency to reduce the fluid droplet from the second size to a third size.

The transparent window plate includes: a plurality of repetitive patterns that are arranged between one of the plurality of defogging heat wires and an adjacent one of the plurality of defogging heat wires so as to be not in contact with the plurality of defogging heat wires, and each of the plurality of repetitive patterns having at least one side parallel with the plurality of defogging heat wires. The plurality of repetitive patterns are aligned along the first direction; and the plurality of repetitive patterns are repetitively arranged along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

Systems and methods for detecting obstructions in a camera field of view

A system mounted on a vehicle for detecting an obstruction on a surface of a window of the vehicle, a primary camera is mounted inside the vehicle behind the window. The primary camera is configured to acquire images of the environment through the window. A secondary camera is focused on an external surface of the window, and operates to image the obstruction. A portion of the window, i.e. window region is subtended respectively by the field of view of the primary camera and the field of view of the secondary camera. A processor processes respective sequences of image data from both the primary camera and the secondary camera.
