The present invention obtains a controller and a control method capable of appropriately executing automatic emergency deceleration operation of a straddle-type vehicle.
In the controller according to the present invention, when the automatic emergency deceleration operation of the straddle-type vehicle is executed, at a braking start time point at which a braking force starts being generated on at least one of wheels, braking force distribution between the front and rear wheels is brought into an initial state where the braking force is generated on the front wheel. In the control method according to the present invention, when the automatic emergency deceleration operation of the straddle-type vehicle is executed, at the braking start time point at which the braking force starts being generated on at least one of the wheels, the braking force distribution between the front and rear wheels is brought into the initial state where the braking force is generated on the front wheel.

A valve arrangement (2a, 2b) of a hydraulically braked tractor vehicle for controlling the brake pressure of a pneumatically braked trailer includes an electronically controlled trailer control valve (6) with an inlet valve (14), an outlet valve (16), a pneumatical relay valve (18), a breakaway valve (20) and a brake control pressure sensor (24). The valve arrangement also has a hydraulically controlled backup valve (8) with a hydraulically activated relay valve (46), a redundancy valve (112, 112′) and a hydraulic control pressure sensor (50). Output-side brake control lines (40; 62) are connected via a shuttle valve (10) to a brake coupling head (82). The valves (14, 16, 18, 20) and the pressure sensors (24, 50) of the trailer control valve (6), the valves (46, 112, 112′) of the backup valve (8) and the shuttle valve (10) may be combined in one trailer control module (98) with a single housing (100).
System and method for wheel-slip prevention in railway vehicles with pneumatic brakes
A control system for wheel-slip prevention in a railway vehicle with a pneumatic brake is provided. The control system comprises an input interface configured to accept a deceleration reference for controlling the pneumatic brake, and a memory configured to store a reference governor providing executable instructions for modifying the deceleration reference upon its violation of a wheel-slip constraint, and configured to store a controller providing executable instructions for mapping the modified deceleration reference to a sequence of control commands for controlling pressure applied by the pneumatic brake. The control system further comprises a processor configured to execute the reference governor to modify the deceleration reference and configured to execute the controller to map the modified deceleration reference to the sequence of control commands. Further, an output interface of the control system is configured to output the sequence of control commands to control the pneumatic brake.

Method and system of controlling braking of vehicle

The regulating port can be located between the supply port and the venting port. Each of the supply port and the venting port may have a general cross-section for passage of the pressure agent substantially having a shape with at least one apex.
