SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NAVIGATING A VEHICLE AMONG ENCROACHING VEHICLES
Systems and methods use cameras to provide autonomous navigation features. In one implementation, a method for navigating a user vehicle may include acquiring, using at least one image capture device, a plurality of images of an area in a vicinity of the user vehicle; determining from the plurality of images a first lane constraint on a first side of the user vehicle and a second lane constraint on a second side of the user vehicle opposite to the first side of the user vehicle; enabling the user vehicle to pass a target vehicle if the target vehicle is determined to be in a lane different from the lane in which the user vehicle is traveling; and causing the user vehicle to abort the pass before completion of the pass, if the target vehicle is determined to be entering the lane in which the user vehicle is traveling.
CONTROLLER AND CONTROL METHOD
The invention has a purpose of providing a controller and a control method capable of suppressing a posture of a motorcycle from becoming unstable in a process of reducing a brake force that has been retained by hill-hold control.
In the cases where the brake force, which has been retained by the hill-hold control, starts to be reduced and it is then determined on the basis of a detection signal of a detection mechanism 8 that the motorcycle starts moving, a control section 7 reduces a reduction amount of the brake force per time to make it smaller than the reduction amount of the brake force per time prior to the determination that the motorcycle starts moving.
Method for Operating a Braking Assembly of a Motor Vehicle, and Control and/or Regulation Device
The disclosure relates to a method for operating a braking assembly of a motor vehicle, in which a first hydraulic braking system is operated as a function of a target deceleration. A second electromechanical braking system can be activated for decelerating the motor vehicle. It is proposed that a braking force of the second braking system is dependent on an actual deceleration.
VEHICLE BRAKE SYSTEM WITH SECONDARY BRAKE MODULE
A brake system has a wheel brake and is operable under a non-failure normal braking mode and a manual push-through mode. The system includes a master cylinder operable by a brake pedal during a manual push-through mode to provide fluid flow at an output for actuating the wheel brake. A first source of pressurized fluid provides fluid pressure for actuating the wheel brake under a normal braking mode. A second source of pressurized fluid generates brake actuating pressure for actuating the wheel brake under the manual push-through mode.
HYDRAULIC MOTOR VEHICLE BRAKING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
A hydraulic motor vehicle braking system includes an electrical parking brake actuator for generating a brake force on a vehicle wheel. The braking system also comprises a first functional unit comprising at least one first electrical brake pressure generator, by means of which a brake pressure can be generated on respective wheel brakes, and a first control system designed to control the at least one first electrical brake pressure generator for a brake pressure regulation. A second functional unit of the braking system comprises at least one second electrical brake pressure generator, by means of which a brake pressure can be respectively generated on a subset of the wheel brakes, and a second control system which is designed to control the at least one second electrical brake pressure generator for a brake pressure regulation in the event of a failure of the first functional unit.
BRAKE SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A brake system for a motor vehicle, comprises a hydraulic brake arrangement and an electric brake arrangement which are designed to be at least partially redundant with respect to one another. In particular, in the event of failure of hydraulic components, a braking demand can be electrically assisted.
Brake NVH countermeasure
Systems and methods are described for controlling a vehicle braking system. An electronic controller determines a target deceleration based at least in part on a detected displacement position of a brake pedal and determines an adjusted braking pressure to be applied to at least one wheel of the vehicle such that, regardless of the displacement position of the brake pedal and the target deceleration, the adjusted braking pressure is maintained outside of a defined range of braking pressures that corresponds to a NVH condition for the at least one wheel. The adjusted braking pressure is then applied to the at least one wheel of the vehicle.
VEHICLE BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE BRAKE CONTROL METHOD
A brake controller includes: a necessary braking force calculator to calculate a necessary braking force that is a braking force generated by a mechanical brake apparatus in order to obtain a deceleration indicated by a brake command; an initial speed acquirer to acquires an initial speed; a target pressing force calculator to calculate a target pressing force that is a force for pressing a brake shoe against a wheel in order to obtain the necessary braking force; and a target pressure calculator to calculate a target pressure indicating a pressure of a fluid inside the brake cylinder that is necessary for obtaining the target pressing force and perform feedback control to adjust the target pressure based on a feedback signal acquired from a pressure sensor.
Electric brake system
An electronic brake system of the present disclosure is disclosed. The an electronic brake system may include a reservoir to store oil; a master cylinder having a master piston connected to a brake pedal and a master chamber for discharging oil by a displacement of the master piston; a hydraulic pressure supply apparatus generating hydraulic pressure by an electrical signal output corresponding to a displacement of the brake pedal to supply to wheel cylinders of the respective wheels; a hydraulic control unit transmitting the hydraulic pressure discharged from the hydraulic pressure supply apparatus to the wheel cylinders of the respective wheels; and a redundancy control apparatus generating hydraulic pressure using a motor and a pump to transmit to at least one of the wheel cylinders.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ACCELERATOR PEDAL-CONTROLLED DISTANCE CONTROLLER OF A VEHICLE AND CONTROL UNIT
A method for operating an accelerator pedal-controlled distance controller of a vehicle. The distance controller regulates a distance to a target vehicle as a function of an actuator pedal value of the vehicle and activates automatic braking operations as necessary. A braking operation is aborted when the accelerator pedal value is increased during the braking operation.
