Method for autonomously controlling a vehicle

The present disclosure relates to a method for autonomously controlling a vehicle performed by a vehicle control system, the vehicle control system comprising a zone control system, a collision prediction system and a braking control system, the method comprising the steps of: defining in the zone control system at least a first zone and a second zone relative to a vehicle position, predicting a collision with an obstacle with the prediction system, autonomously braking the vehicle with the braking control system in a first braking mode if the collision is predicted to occur in the first zone and braking the vehicle with the braking control system in a second braking mode if the collision is predicted to occur in the second zone.

BRAKE PAD STATE ESTIMATION DEVICE AND BRAKE PAD STATE ESTIMATION METHOD
20220018414 · 2022-01-20 ·

A brake pad state estimation device estimates a brake pad state including at least one of a wear volume and a temperature of a brake pad of a vehicle. The brake pad state estimation device acquires sensor detection information including a vehicle speed and a brake pressure, and calculates the brake pad state based on the sensor detection information during braking of the vehicle. The brake pad state estimation device variably sets a sampling period for acquiring the sensor detection information from a sensor according to a driving environment for the vehicle. The sampling period in a case where the wear volume or the temperature of the brake pad is expected to be lower is set to be longer than the sampling period in a case where the wear volume or the temperature of the brake pad is expected to be higher.

A driving assistance system for a work vehicle may comprise a service brake configured to decelerate the work vehicle upon actuation of the service brake, a parking brake and a transmission including a clutch. A controller may be configured to disengage the clutch when the work vehicle speed is less than a speed threshold and when the service brake is actuated, whereby the work vehicle is brought to a stop.

AUTOMATED BRAKING CONTROL SYSTEMS

Systems and methods for controlling a vehicle. One example system includes a deceleration actuator coupled to a first wheel of the vehicle and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the deceleration actuator. The electronic processor is configured to receive a vehicle park command. The electronic processor is configured to, responsive to receiving the vehicle park command, determine a maximum holding pressure threshold. The electronic processor is configured to determine a requested braking pressure for the deceleration actuator. The electronic processor is configured to determine whether the requested braking pressure exceeds the maximum holding pressure threshold. The electronic processor is configured to, responsive to determining that the requested braking pressure does not exceed the maximum holding pressure threshold, control the deceleration actuator to apply, to the first wheel during a hold time, a holding braking pressure equivalent to the requested braking pressure.
