Apparatus for measurement of a limb circumference, a device for measurement of a limb compliance comprising the same and a device used in the treatment of lymphedema comprising the same
The present invention provides an apparatus for measurement of a limb circumference, comprising a pull string module, a first measurement module and a second measurement module. The pull string module comprises a surrounding component, wherein the surrounding component comprises an encircling part disposed around a limb of an individual; the first measurement module is disposed at the pull string module and moves alone the longitudinal axis of the limb and meanwhile measures the length of the limb; and the second measurement module measures the length of the encircling part simultaneously when the first measurement module move alone the limb, so as to determine the correlation between the limb length and the limb circumference. The present invention further provides a device including two or more apparatuses of the present invention to measure the limb compliance and to be used in the treatment of lymphedema.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING ACUTE AND CHRONIC STRESS
Examples of the present subject matter provide techniques for measuring stress levels using a variety of physiological indicators, such as pupil diameter, voice, cortisol levels, skin resistance, etc. Different sensors may be provided to measure the physiological indicators. Those measurements may be collected at a central server, where those measurements may be analyzed to determine the stress level of the user.
ANALYTE SENSOR DEVICES, CONNECTIONS, AND METHODS
Devices associated with on-body analyte sensor units are disclosed. These devices include any of packaging and/or loading systems, applicators and elements of the on-body sensor units themselves. Also, various approaches to connecting electrochemical analyte sensors to and/or within associated on-body analyte sensor units are disclosed. The connector approaches variously involve the use of unique sensor and ancillary element arrangements to facilitate assembly of separate electronics assemblies and sensor elements that are kept apart until the end user brings them together.
CONTACT SENSOR
A contact sensor and system for incorporation within clothing and other wearable items to monitor activity at a body surface. The sensor includes a contact membrane having a body surface contacting area and one or more base layers of knitted fabric. The base layer(s) is thicker over an area congruent with the body surface contacting area of the contact membrane. As a result, the contact membrane is urged into the forming of a raised outer surface for projection against a body surface.
MEDICAL DEVICES WITH CIRCUITRY FOR CAPTURING AND PROCESSING PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNALS
A medical device comprises a control system, processing modules, and a wire bundle connecting the control system to the processing modules, the wire bundle comprising control lines and data lines. Each processing module is coupled to a respective set of sensors arranged to interface with a biological tissue site, the sensors being configured to capture analog physiological signals generated from the biological tissue site. The control system is configured to generate a control signal on the control lines to initiate a data collection cycle by the processing modules. In response to the control signal, each processing module is configured to perform a respective data collection process which comprises (i) capturing and processing an analog physiological signal on each enabled sensor to generate a data sample for each analog physiological signal captured on each enabled sensor, and (ii) outputting data samples to the control system on the data lines.
Alarm setting derived from the variability in signal characteristics
A method for creating alarm signals based on time-series signal behavior determined from real-time discrete data obtained from a medical device. In one embodiment the method includes identifying patterns in preceding time-series measurement threshold breaches in clinical readings obtained from said medical device when associated with a particular patient, and initiating an alarm signal to a front-line clinician based on the preceding quantity of threshold breaches.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAPPING TOOTH SURFACES
Provided herein are platforms and methods for mapping a three-dimensional (3D) dental anatomy of a subject.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRANSMITTING DATA BETWEEN DEVICES WORN BY SWIMMERS
Methods and systems for improving and/or enabling wireless communication and data transfer between electronic devices worn by swimmers and both wireless networks and wireless headphones or other worn devices. The methods and systems disclosed detect when conditions are sufficient for wireless communication depending on the position of a worn electronic device relative to the surface of the water and/or wireless headphones and enables burst data transfer between devices and/or between a device and a wireless network during such times.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND IMPROVING SLEEP PATTERN OF USER
A method and a system for providing feedback to a user for adjusting sleep pattern of the user. The method includes collecting a set of information related to the user, receiving a set of measurement data related to the user from a wearable electronic device, defining circadian rhythm and duration of sleep of the user, determining sleep scores for a predefined number of days and associating each sleep score with a corresponding go-to-bed time or time of falling asleep of the user. A sleep score is determined for each of the predefined number of days from the collected set of information, the set of measurement data, the circadian rhythm and the duration of sleep of the user. The method further includes analysing the sleep scores and associated go-to-bed time or time of falling asleep of the user to determine an optimum bedtime window for the user and providing feedback to the user based on the analysed sleep scores and the optimum bedtime window.
Cannula insertion detection
Sensors are disclosed that detect whether a cannula is properly inserted to its full depth in a subject's skin. The sensors may be used with a blood glucose monitor, or with a continuous insulin infusion pump, infusion set, or other system involving intermittent or continuous testing and/or drug delivery.
