Method and system for audio critical listening and evaluation
Disclosed herein is a method of constructing and utilizing a sound engineering evaluation and comparison process to allow for improved finished results. Such a method entails the utilization of a high-pass filter for listening evaluation of recorded music or sounds including consistency with low-frequency mixing to allow for a tool to implement changes in relation to the filtered results in order to accommodate sensitivities of the human ear (with the optional inclusion of a comparison method to provide possible further enhanced results and the avoidance of biases). In such a manner, a facilitating method for sound engineering mixing adjustments that provide such accommodations are provided for improved sound recordings for distribution within on-line or recording product frameworks.

AUDIOMETRIC SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH AMBIENT NOISE DISTRACTION AND MASKING INDENTIFICATION
A system and method for testing hearing of a subject in an environment in which ambient noise is present, which identifies threshold levels that require retesting due to presence of masking or distraction created by ambient noise during pure tone audiometry. An acoustic sensor monitors ambient noise in the vicinity of the subject during pure tone audiometry while pure tone stimuli are presented.
Methods and apparatus for biometric processes
A method for generating an acoustic stimulus for use in an ear biometric process on a user, the method comprising: receiving an indication of stimulation frequencies for use in the ear biometric process; grouping the stimulation frequencies into bands of a psychoacoustic scale; generating the acoustic stimulus, the acoustic stimulus comprising a masked bandpass component within each band of the psychoacoustic scale that comprises one or more of the stimulation frequencies.
MECHANICAL PROSTHESIS WITH RECIPIENT PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PROSTHESIS STATUS ACQUISITION CAPABILITIES
A hearing prosthesis system, including a direct acoustic cochlear stimulator (DACS) sub-system, and an electrophysiology measurement sub-system, wherein at least a portion of the DACS sub-system and at least a portion of the electrophysiology measurement sub-system are configured to be permanently implanted in a recipient underneath skin of the recipient.
Hearing test system and method for determining credibility of a hearing test
A hearing test system includes a sound generating unit, an user interface, and a control unit. The sound generating unit is configured to generate a first testing sound at a frequency for a subject. The user interface is configured to receive a first feedback of the subject based on the first testing sound. The control unit is configured to determine whether the first feedback is of heard response or an unheard response. When the control unit confirms that the first feedback is of the heard response, the control unit drives the sound generating unit to generate a second testing sound based on a lower testing limit at the frequency, in which a volume of the second testing sound is less than or substantially equal to a volume of the first testing sound.
Biometric processes, apparatus and machine-readable mediums
A biometric processor comprises: one or more inputs configured to receive first ear biometric data acquired in respect of a first ear of a user and second ear biometric data acquired in respect of a second ear of the user; a processing module configured to perform a biometric algorithm on the first ear biometric data and the second ear biometric data, based on a comparison of the first ear biometric data to a first stored ear biometric template for an authorised user and a comparison of the second ear biometric data to a second stored ear biometric template for the authorised user, to obtain respective first and second biometric scores; a fusion module configured to apply first and second weights to the respective first and second biometric scores to obtain first and second weighted biometric scores, and to combine at least the first and second weighted biometric scores to generate an overall biometric score, wherein the first and second weights are different to each other; and wherein a biometric result is based on the overall biometric score.
Method to estimate hearing impairment compensation function
At least one exemplary embodiment is directed to a method of generating a hearing impairment compensation function to process audio reproduced by an earphone device. The compensation function includes processing the audio to compensate for frequency sensitivity to improve speech intelligibility.
