A vehicular control system includes a control having a processor that processes image data captured by a forward viewing camera. When the control system is controlling driving of the vehicle, the control determines a triggering event that requires driving of the vehicle to be handed over to a driver of the vehicle before the vehicle encounters an event point. Responsive to determination of the triggering event, the control (i) determines a total action time until the vehicle encounters the event, (ii) estimates a driver take over time for the driver to take over control and (iii) estimates a handling time for the vehicle to be controlled to avoid encountering the event point, and, responsive to the determination and estimations, the control system (i) allows the driver to take over control of the vehicle or (ii) controls the vehicle to slow down and stop the vehicle before the event point.

A current state of the driver is obtained and used to determine a set of warnings to alert the driver to perform the set of tasks. Each warning corresponds to a task in the set of tasks and is created based on the current state of the driver. A warning schedule is generated based on the set of warnings in the order of the set of tasks and transmitted so that warnings in the warning schedule are delivered to the driver.

Information of a current state of the driver is obtained and used to determine a warning to be used to alert the driver to perform the change, wherein the warning includes warning content and indication of at least one media to be used to deliver the warning content. A warning schedule is generated to comprise a set of warnings, each warning corresponding to one task, and arranged in an order based on an order of the tasks. The warning schedule is transmitted so that each warning of the set of warnings is executed.
